NC Dave

Hey y'all,
I'm Dave from NC. I was a whopping 145 pounds as a teenager and ate like a horse. As I got into my 30's I started to put on weight and got up to 190 and was still eating like a horse. At 50 years old I was at 210 and had a heart attack. I quit smoking the next day, went to the gym every day for 9 months, ate a healthy diet and didn't lose a pound. I quit going to the gym and started eating whatever I wanted and blew up to 263. Now I'm finally to the point where I'm so disgusted with myself that I knew I had to do something but I don't have health insurance. I prayed about this for a long time and one day a friend of mine called me and said she knew how bad I wanted this surgery and she is paying for it out of her own pocket for me; not a loan but a gift !
My nutritionist asked me how was I gonna break my addiction to food and I told her the same way I broke my addiction to nicotine after 35 years of smoking.. with the help of God. My support person on my application is listed as "Jesus" :)
