I go to Jacksonville Weight loss center. I have met with both Cywes and Babtista. I am awaiting my surgical date as we speak. I noticed that you are from deland, I grew up in the Leesburg/Tavares area. I now live in the Jacksonville area.

I just came from the seminar at St. Vincent's (Dr. Chappano & Dr. Herrera). My only remaining question is how much cheaper it is if you have the surgery done at a day surgery center vs the hospital. The total cost here is $17,500 with $10,000 going to the hospital, $5,300 to the doctors and $1,200 for anesthesia. They also charging a $500 processing fee. Do other doctors charge this? My insurance covers the surgery but I may have a slight qualification issue. I'd like to have the surgery done this year as I have already met my deductible. I wonder if the processes prior to surgery are different between doctors?

My name is Stacia Brownlee and Dr. Cywes is my doctor. He did my surgery on March 26 2007 and I have lost 123pds since. He is a good doctor and will be very forward with you as needed. I've been seeing him ever since my surgery; once a month. I've formed a close bond with him and I know I'm not the only patient. He is a doctor who knows what he is doing and always has your best intirest in mind. He WILL find a way to motivate you when you are unmotivated. He works.

I will be having my surgery with them soon. I like them so far. Glad to hear others have had good experiences with them.

I am also going to Dr. Cywes and my surgery is schedueled for November 30th. I may postpone it till the first part of January due to the Holidays and a lot of traveling out of town. So far, Dr. Cywes and the entire staff have been so great and seem to really care about their patients. I am having my endoscopy Thursday and a couple more appointments next week. How is everyone doing on here? I am so glad I found others that are using Dr. Cywes and Dr. Baptista, I like them both!!
