Fill/Restriction Help

I went for my 1st fill last week. They put in 4 cc in. I was on liquids for 1 day, but I have not seen a difference in restriction.

I eat like before the surgery. Should I call the dr. again? Will they do another fill so soon?

I have no restriction, and I don't want to wait another month for my appt to come. I am scared I won't lose any weight.

Any advice will help.

From what I've seen, only the fortunate few feel restriction after their first fill. I've had four fills and only have mild restriction. My doctor only makes me wait a week between fills but a lot of other doctors are more conservative.

Patience seems to be the name of the game..... and it's hard! I'm running out of it myself. Good luck to you!

My first fill was 4ccs too and I didn't notice a difference. My second fill was 2ccs. That puts me at a total of 6ccs. I have a little restriction now but not enough to make a difference. I go tomorrow for my 3rd fill. You can call your doc to see if you can go back this soon. It really depends on your doc. It seems they all do things a little differently. Patience is the name of the game as was stated before. I hope tomorrow this will be it for me or close to it. I want to start losing!!!!

I have heard on average it takes 2-4 fills to get it just right. It is that "sweet spot" that you will heard other bandsters talk about. Get another fill as soon as your doctor allows. They want to be cautious because if they put too much of a fill your stomach can swell too much. Try to be patient with yourself! You will eventually get there but it is not a quick process.

Not many of us feel it on the first fill. I also had 4cc first time and didnt feel anything, Just hand in there. I think i started feeling mine at about 9ccs, 4 fills later that was about 6 months after my surgery.
