About Fort Bend Band

    Guru in Training

It has been a difficult process. I did not lose much at first. In time as I got more fills I would lose more but threw up more as well. When I took fluid out of my band I would gain weight almost immediately. I do believe my metabolism is messed up because your body gets used to living off of so little food. I live with my band being very tight and have just gotten used to this way of life. I do not regret it. I feel better and look better. I was headed towards diabetes and high blood pressure which I did escape thanks to the band. I do believe people really need to consider that it is a major change and if they really want to lose weight they will be very restricted in what they can eat. Many times I wish I could have just done it the old fashioned way...eating less and moving my body more...but that is just not part of my mental makeup that I can sustain for the long haul.
