How do you change your wardrobe so often and not spend a fortune?

Dh made a comment about buying me new clothes over and over again (in a happy joking way) once I start loosing weight. For now we have it covered since I have gained 50lbs in the past year and a half, I have clothes that are too small for me now still in my closet. Once all those are too small, how can I buy new clothes, but not go crazy since I'll hopefully loose more weight. Does that make any sense?

When I lost weight before, shopping for new clothes was fun and became my new reward for loosing.

Target, and my favorite, the Kohl's 80% off racks. I only buy the basics and go from size to size that way... Was wearing size 14 pants as a size 12 for awhile... Also skirts are a great way to get extra time out of them... not so fitted...

That's a really good idea re: the surgery center having a WLS closet. I am going to have to mention that to my surgeon!!! Thanks for the idea!~!!

Oh, and ebay and craigslist are great places to find clothes. I found some cute summer shirts on ebay for $8 and they're pretty dressy, nice for a night out with a skirt of pair of dressy capris.

I've been shopping for a cocktail dress on craigslist and ebay for a wedding I need to go to in October. My cocktail dress from last year's christmas party is too big.

When I first got approved for WLS I started hitting discount racks for different size pants. None way way small, just a few sizes from where I am now, and one or two from the misses department. At first I had them hidden in the back of my closet but now they are right up front so when I go looking for cloths they are the first things I see. Talk about inspiration!!

And for the sizes I don't have it will be the discount racks again, and the local good will. Now when I hit goal, well that is a different matter all together. Macy's, Nordstom, you name it ... hell even walmart just because :)

I love walmart and TJMax. Once I lose all the weight I will go crazy but for now walmart is good enough. I always try to have a pair of jeans, and a few shirts that fit. I find you can get away with only having 1 pair of pants much easier than if you only had 1 top.
