July Butterflies Master Thread

Recommended Posts

Well I tried the shake thing today and I was starving so I gave in and made an appointment for a fill. I'm NOT looking forward to the embarrisment and lecture. I go tomarrow at 1:30 I'll let you know how it goes. I don't like going because I can never tell if I have enough or too much.

Kimaly, yes, I am starting over. I went back to my old avatar and no ticker. I will put one up after I get off this Christmas weight I gained. I am going to the doctor in February and get a tweak in my band.

I was wondering why you changed your ticker the candy kicked my but too. So I am trying to regroup as well

Got my fill today, I only got .4 still a little gun shy since the over fill hope it does the trick. She was good about the lack of weightloss. Now I'm just hoping it doesn't turn out to be to tight.

Good for you......I hope it is all you need. Well, I called the dr this morning about my low bp since I started that Savella. I have to go in the morning. I bet she takes me off of it. Too bad cause it really took care of my pain. I guess I will find out. I ate a BBq rib for lunch and slimed and pb'd. I just ate too fast. You would think after 18 months I would have learned to eat slow.

Let's start a 2010 challenge. Everyone put in their ticker a personal goal for 2010. What do you think?

So sorry to hear of the problems with your meds. You sure have had a tough time of it, Hope it gets better for you soon. And I know the eating slowly is a terrible challange, I've had to eat on the go my whole adulthood, I was a hairdresses. You just eat between cliants. Speaking of challanges I think the idea is fab. We're doing it for the whole year right? I'll make one now. I'm gonna start with a mini goal by my 2nd bandaversary and then finish up with the rest of the year.

Ok, ladies, I am in. I set my 2 year bandiversary goal to be in onederland. I think it is doable. Much more doable than that stupid Valentine's Day one I will NEVER hit.

I forgot to ask ya'll yesterday but when I was getting my fill my Dr. said I needed to cut my calories down to 1190 a day. Which is only 10 less at this point. She said to lose weight you take what you weigh and multiply it by 7 and that's what you need to be at. As your weight goes down so does the calorie count as long as you want to keep losing. I was just wondering if anyone else had been told this? Also poudering the thought of why she waited a year and a half to tell me, When I asked this question she said she hadn't seen me in 5mo. and up to that point I was losing. Just thought it would have been a nice thing to tell someone so they could adjust as they need it.

It would be great if more of the old butterflies would join us in the challange. But I'm glad we're at least doing it togather.

I just got back from the doctor. She cut the Fibro med in half and my bp med in half. I will keep a watch on my bp.

Remember, I had that breath test done for my calorie intake and it was 1300 for my resting metabolism. She said I need to exercise and eat 1100 to 1200 a day to lose one lb a week. Oh, Yay! That is why I gained over the holidays. When you lose you don't need as many calories. Your metabolism slows without exercise. That is why people gain their weight back. With the band you can keep control of your appetite. That means NO SLIDERS!!!!!!!!

We can do this! Today I a pumped about the new start.

Try to report in. We need each other.

My dr told me to eat between 800- 1000 cal a day while i am losing and to vary from day to day. And he only told me that after my one year follow up. But anyways i am in on the challenge. So I looked back at all the people that where on here in the beginning and I can't believe it is just us now. I wonder what happened to everyone

They either reached goal and don't need help or they found another source of support. My doctor said to eat 800 calories the first year and I didn't do it......hence I am only half way through to goal. He also told me I really needed bypass, but I was not a good candidate. Maybe our butterflies will check in and see we are still together.

Okay, today I ate Fiber/protein bar, chicken, 4oz roast.....tried to eat more, but I have IBS tonight and my band is tight.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
