Dr. Enochs in Raleigh

Recommended Posts

Hi Claudine!

I absolutely adore Dr. Enochs and his staff. I am 3 months out from surgery, with absolutely NO PAIN! If you want to read about what patients say, I would also go to obesityhelp.com. The bariatric world LOVE him! Plus he is the most experienced! The word is out on how awesome of a surgeon he is. I went for a follow up and noted new people so I guess they are training and hiring. I think your overall experience with Dr. Enochs will be fabulous!~ His nurse Lisa is absolutely wonderful!! Best wishes and keep us all posted! HUGS! :P

Hi this is bjane. I am a patient of Dr. Enochs and I am extremely happy with him and with his staff. Lisa (as well as the others) are very helpful and will listen to you and answer questions. I started my journey in early Feb, 08 and after all my preop testing, found that I had to have my gallbladder removed. Dr. Enochs did that for me and I did great. I am 2 weeks since surgery for lapband and other than the gas pains and my taste buds being a little funky, I've done well. I went see him for my one week post op and all was well. I go back on July 9 and he said we would talk about the fills. If you are considering using him, I think you'll be happy. Good luck.

Claudine, Dr. Enochs did my Band on April 11th 2008. I think I love him more than my husband. J/K. He has the BEST bed side mannors and Lisa is as good as gold to me. I went last week for my second fill and Lisa would not give it to me because I lost 15 lbs in one month. So hopefully I can get one in 3 weeks. I would recommend anyone to Dr. Enochs. If I had to do it all over again, he would be the one to do. And my husband even had something good to say about him, which is unusual for him to say anything nice about anyone. LOL.

He just performed my surgery last Friday. He's a sweetheart. He takes his time with you, answers any question and is compassionate. His staff is wonderful too. My husband had never met him until the day I had surgery and he was impressed too. Good luck. I look forward to hearing from you as to how it's going. FYI - After my case was submitted to insurance, I heard from the doctors office less than a week later with a date!

Sorry I meant to say SCAR. LOL. Didn't mean to freak you out or anything. My port is towards my right side. Kinda in the middle. Its hard to explain the location with all my extra meat. LOL.

Hi Claudine, My name is bjane and I am a patient of Dr. Enochs. He did my gallbladder surgery in April and my lapband on 6-5 and he is wonderful. I go on July 9 for (I think) my first fill. I'm ready because I'm beginning to be hungry. Best of luck.

I called Dr. Enoch's office prior to my surgery to set up for aftercare. I didn't have a good experience. I went 3 times and he could never find my port, so it put me way behind on my fills. I won't go into all of it now, but I wrote posts about my experience last year. I think he would have been fine if he did the fills under fluro.

For those who are banded by Dr. Enochs, what size band does he use? I just had my results visit and I forgot to ask him about the band size.

Hi, this is bjane. Dr. Enochs did my lapband and I just recently went for a fill and asked about the size of my band. The PA told me that it is a size 10. I did well with my fill and I am very pleased so far in my journey. I, also, hope to be thin one day.

wow! i'm so surprised i found this! i was just looking at his information online today and seriously considering him as my surgeon!

for those of you who went to him: did you just set up a consult as the first step? and also, had you already completed your prerequisites for surgery?

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
