So is this my pre-op diet?

I had my EGD today and it all went well, and before I left the nurse told me that I needed to start on a 1200 calorie diet? She gave me a handout of the sample diet, but I am just wondering if this is my "pre-op" diet??? The only thing I have left to do is go to the diet and nutrition class. All of my pre-op medical tests have been done!!

i would assume that it is your pre-op diet... does it sort of give u a gudeline of what u would eat? its should also state what u can and can't have also..

Must be??? Maybe your doc doesn't focus as much on the pre op or "shinking liver" diet.

2 weeks before my surgery i have to do potein shake for breakfast and lunch with a sensable dinner for my pre-op diet, its different for everyone depending on who your dr is...i would call my dr and clarify if i was not for sure
