April Running-Weight Totals!

Recommended Posts

Two weeks since my surgery and I lost 30 lbs. I had no pre-op diet. Great drop but I've been run down considerably. Thank God that today is my first day on soft foods from just liquids. Today I use a fork. Woo hoo! I've been craving real food for over a week now but I've been sticking to the diet plan. I never dreamt of food before either. Ha!

Hi fellow avengers,

I'm 3 weeks post op today, and about 17 pounds lighter. Yipppe! Wish the weight loss would always stay this fast, but I know it won't.

Asenft, how did you loose 30 pounds in 2 weeks? That's a LOT!

Two people asked me at work today "are you loosing weight?" I guess it's starting to show. Maybe it's because I have to wear new clothes now, as the old ones are way tooo big! <GRIN>

Good question. I was pretty surprised when I saw the reading at the hospital today. I wasn't drinking the requirement since my stomach was feeling blah or I was resting from fatigue. I don't recommend losing this much this fast. It takes a toll on the body. I'm so glad that I'm on soft foods now.

Good luck with your band progress.

Started pre-op 4/4. Banded 4/18. Down 19.5 pounds. Congrats to everyone!!! Add it all up & I think we've collectively lost a person (or two....)

Today my boss asked me if I was taking pictures of my transformation!! I took some a few weeks back before surgery, but I really think I'll take some "in progress" pics. Could be motivating when I hit a plateau. Just some food for thought (lol...pun intended!)

I will be post op 3 weeks tomorrow and I'm down 22.3 pounds. YAY!! I am starting to get excited about it. At first I thought it was all Water weight, but now I think it might be real!

Great job everyone!

I'm down 31 pounds since the preop diet 3/21. I was banded 4/4 and have not had a fill yet. Still getting pretty good restriction without it. Congratulations on everyone else's weight loss. Way to go Avengers! We're getting smaller every day!!

We should all be very proud of ourselves! Tomorrow is my one month anniversary and I'm down 31 pounds. Woot!

I've felt like a loser in the past (derogatory) but now I can proudly say I am one...Keep up the great work Avengers!!!!

I'm three weeks PO today and I'm down 15.5! YeeHaw! I'll take it. I had my first fill today, so we'll see what happens now. I'm even more excited that I've dropped almost 2 pant sizes! Good job everyone! It's so exciting to see it coming off!

I thought the same thing at first... Water or even worse lean body weight loss. However, my doc has one of those scales with sensors that measures fat weight, water weight and lean weight in addition to overall weight. The scale showed that it was mostly fat mass that was gone. I was a happy camper. Cant weight (lol) to get on that thing next monday before my fill appt and see what it has to say.

I'm stuck. Been stuck here at this weight for over a week now. Bummer. I'm following all the rules, and nothing has changed. Of course, maybe I should change something. I don't know. I just want it to keep moving down.

I keep trying to remind myself that this is the bonus period. I've lost more since the band came along than I would have on my own!!

I'm still a happy bandster!

~C

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
