Newbie with some questions

I'm just wondering if you have to give up certain foods. I've talked with some people and they eat whatever they want, but some people say they cant eat bread, or red meat. I'm just wondering. Also, any suggestions on protien drinks? I will be banded on 4/10/08.

i ordered some samples off of vitalady.com of different protein powders...however the day after i ordered them i realized a pack of sugar free carnation and 2 cups of skim milk is 21 grams of protein...so that's what i drink since i'm suppose to have 2 cups of milk a day anyway. I sitll havn't tried any of the protein samples...i'm scared...they all smell funny. i'm 4.5 weeks out, i can eat anything...nothing bothers me.

I have found I can no longer eat oranges, even if I take the time to peel them completely. I am able to eat some bread but only full grain types, they seem to go down better. I eat very little meat but I eat some. I enjoy tofu and it works well for me. I have read many different things for many different people. Eat slow and chew well, you will learn what works for you!
