Did I have surgery?
Hi! I'm 9 days postop and feel totally normal. I've been doing full liquids and have no issues getting anything down. I can take big gulps and many drinks of something in a row. I don't ever feel full but I don't feel hungry so that's a plus! Is this normal? The couple people I know that had the surgery had a hard time especially in the beginning with being able to get enough liquids down.

Yes! Evenings are the hardest for sure! After I put my son to bed at night...what else is there to do but eat!? I'm working through it though! I need to start going and jumping on the treadmill...

Starting over.... Again
I have to add that the liquids really mess with your head! I forgot how strong of a thing head hunger really is! My husband (who only has around 10 lbs to lose) tried to do it with me, broke down the first day and got a large milk shake from DQ and tried to rationalize that it was liquid protein Maybe! But not the calorie count we are looking for!

Starting over.... Again
I did day 1 of the 5 day pouch test today and like most of this it just seems like it is mind over matter! I've stayed busy and haven't had any issues! I just need to finish the day off and go onto day 2!

Starting over.... Again
Seems like there are a few of us who are needing a fresh start!! I was banded feb 08-and did awesome! Focused on all the rules, took care of my band, treated it as a tool, worked hard and lost 110 pounds. Took about 2 years but I did it! My main motivation for getting the band was to lose weight In order to be healthy enough to have babies. My baby making parts just don't work when they are surrounded by 300 pounds. We officially started trying in march 2010 and were pregnant by September. In June 2011 we welcomed the most amazing little boy! He far exceeds any of my expectations of what motherhood would be like! ??? I stopped caring about myself because 1000% of my attention is on him and frankly I really don't want it any other way! We tried for 8 years to have him and he's all I've ever wanted. So now I'm back where I started my journey...300 lbs. I'm not happy with anything concerning myself. My self esteem is shot and then I start questioning my mothering skills. I don't want him to be teased for having the fattest mother. I want to be able to chase after him without feeling like I'm going to have a heart attack. I want him to be proud I'm his mom and never feel embarrassed because of my weight. I would also like to have another baby. I would like for him to have a sibling for so many reasons. I always wanted 4 but ill settle for 2 ???ƒ Great job on your new start!! I hope in 4 weeks I can have a successful weight loss like you!

Starting over
Hi Suzanne! Yes, I initially checked in on here quite a bit at the beginning. I didn't post a ton but read everything! I think it was encouraging seeing other people struggle with the same issues I had. Also it was helpful knowing I was doing things right and being able to give advice or kind words to someone who was struggling worse then I was. I think it's a good step reconnecting to the stories on this board and finding people who know my struggles! If you would like a buddy to vent to, I'm here!
