It wasn't my first NSV, but I must share!

The other night hubby and I were intimate and when he had his arms around me, I could feel that his hand could reach further around me than he had previously been able to. It made me feel so good. I told him about it the next day, but he didn't seem to understand why what seemed like such a small thing meant so much to me.

I found myself sprinting down the stairs the other morning. I used to grip the railing as I would slowly go down the steps in the morning, each of my joints creaking and aching. I laughed when I realised what I had just done. What a wonderful feeling!

I knew that I have been getting smaller even though my scale has not been moving much.

So this weekend I was looking for something nice to wear since I have a wedding to go to in a few weeks.

Go and grab a pair of dress pants (size 22) put them on and they fell right off.

It was great. Typically I wear pants that have an elestic waist since I hate buying new clothes and they sort of shrink with you. Well went to the store and grabed some 20's yeah no they didn't fit either. Oh yeah I was able to get into a size 16. Yippi

I even bought a pair of jeans. lol

and I am down 35 pounds since being banded March 13, 2008

My shoes won't stay on my feet... They are slides and that is what they do . Slide right off. These are shoes that when my feet swelled they hurt. Now I can hardly keep them on... :tt2:

Funny you mention that....I wear Vans Classics most of the time (80's girl, what can I say?)....I've always worn a 9.....had to buy a 8.5 last night, the I'm slopping out of the nines.....now I feel kind of bad, I didn't realize my feet were fat......JK.....anything smaller is GOOD!

Today, when I got out of the shower, the bath towel fit all the way around me. I don't mean, just the top part that I tuck under my arms, I mean the whole towel. Yipeeee! Did I mention that it was a normal sized bath towel and not a BEACH towel!!:D

I work at a dentist office and its been 6-7 months since i've seen a lot of my regular patients and they are all flipping OUT!!!!

I started making a list of all the funny things they say to me...

Theres the standard

"Where did you go!"

and a couple of

"Do you have to run around the shower now just to get wet?"

and a very unique

"Keep losing and your honey will have to shake the sheets to find you"

so far my favorite is

"Don't fall through your pants leg and hang your self!"

oh yea...I guess you can tell we live in the south!!!

I just blush and say thanks for noticeing....

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
