1 week post-op: how many lbs lost?

I know this time is for recovery...but just wondering if others gained/lost weight? My post-op has been full of ups/downs as far as my weight.

3/4 (surgery): 227

3/5: 226.8

3/6: 230

3/7: 227.2

3/8: 224.4

My upper stomach (yes, it looks like I have 2 stomachs) looks like it is full of liquid...it's all watery and jiggly (and not fat-jiggy...a different kind of jiggly). I feel like the blueberry girl on Willie Wonka who needs to be drained. Please let me know your stories!

WOW!!! THANK GOOOOOOOOD, I AM NOT GOING CRAZY, I AM NOT A LONE!!! :scared2:I too have felt that this was a complete mistake! I've hated myself for not being able to control myself and having to take this approach towards my weightloss! But now I see that I am not the only one feeling this way and hopefully things will change for my own good.

Let see...I was rebanded 3/6/08 so I am 8 days out. Since Day of surgery I have lost 9 pounds. I did not have to do a pre op diet however I AM doing the same post op diet. 3/8 cup of food per meal really really sucks.

I somehow lost 12 pounds the first week. Then I never lost one more pound for at least two months. Like everyone says, you have to think about a year from surgery and figure you are going to have lost at least 52 pounds then and not worry about when the pounds are lost. I gain 4 pounds every month the week before my TOM - I don't think I really gain those 4 pounds but it still freaks me out to see the scale go up. Weight gained/lost right after surgery is not really gained or lost so try to keep looking at the overall picture. You aren't losing lap band weight until you get at least one fill.

Im 12 days post op. Im never hungry. I still have mental cravings but my body doesnt seem to respond to them in the same way. I am, however, bord out of my mind. I LOVE to eat while watching tv and now tv just isnt the same without a snack. I feel a lot of anxiety. Im not sure what to do to with all my free time now. Sometimes I actually feel like I want to scream.

i had the same problem with gasand burping i was told to get phayzime. it is the truth. 1 to 2 tablets and you are in hog haven. passing gas and burping. they are very small i started taking them 5days after surgery the gas was so bad. i feel great now. and i have a smaller stomach!!!

I was banded on 3/6/08 but have not stepped on a scale, on purpose. I try to keep my focus on my food intake. When I'm hungry I have a drink. I'll have 2 optifast shakes during the day and then soups, which I love. (Tomato Basil, or even a Porcini Mushroom) Anything thin enough to be sipped thru a straw is my guideline.
