That lady at the top.

I just don't get why on my computer she is covered up by an ad.

Everyone else seems to see her. I saw her on my daughter's lap top, but

not here.

That is strange. I have an ad on the top right of my screen, but not on the left.

She is on the top right on my screen. I can see parts of her sticking out. Right now all I can see is the top of her head.

Ok, I'm just kidding :biggrin::cursing:. The picture at the top of the forum is a stock photo. I have no idea who she is or anything else about her. I got a lot of crap for having a skinny/sexy gal the last time around so I tried to find a picture that more people could relate to. Quite obviously I didn't do the greatest job, but as I've realized in life, you can't please everyone.

I'd LOVE to have a REAL pic or multiple pics of real bandsters. If someone is interested in assisting me with this little project I'd be forever grateful.

Alex,

That would be wonderful!!!! "Eve" has been driving me crazy (and it looks like a few other people) since day one!!! I think it's a fabulous idea to rotate photos of posters from this board, after all, as you have probably noticed, there are quite a few hotties around here .

I would be happy to help in any way that I can, but I think I should probably warn you that I have never posted images to a website, so I might need a little training.

Alex, I think my heart skipped a beat when I read your first post, lol! I'm soooo glad you were kidding! I love the idea of rotating bandsters pictures. There are quite a few people here that I would love seeing pictures of them posted at the top. Maybe their screen name and total weight loss could be posted with the picture. It inspires me to see real banded people's success and I'm sure it would inspire the newbies that are just starting out too!

I'd like to help out too. I'm a professional photographer so if someone else can collect the pictures, I can make a nice collage.

I'd be glad to take a nice high key white background picture of any bandster that wants to swing by and be photographed. I'd give one of mine, but I'm still fat, so that wouldn't motivate anyone. LOL

And, for the record, I never said anything about the woman PERSONALLY, just about the pose. So, I guess I was criticizing the photographer more than her, if you want to get technical.

I also think Boo should be the new girl at the top. Hell, she can photograph herself...ooops...but then she couldn't hold her own boobie in the photo. Boo is much more photogenic than the apple girl!

ALEX!!!!!!!!!! OMG....I wanted to die when I read that post...lol....good one..

I agree I think we all had issue with the pose, not the girl.

I think it really shouldn't be just one person on top. I think rotating would be great.

Lilo--thanks. I would be honored for sure!

I am graphic designer so I would be happy to help out in any way, I just can't photograph myself...lol....

Yay! This is going to be great! I can't wait to see how it turns out.

Chickie, are you going to change your mind about having a picture on here? You are an inspiration to us.

Question for anyone, how did you get your mind right before surgery? Like as far as eating better foods and just doing better in general? I'm having a really hard time with this. Any help is appreciated 🙏❤️

I had about 6 months between deciding to do surgery and getting scheduled. I came across the book The Pound of Cure by Dr. Matthew Weiner, a bariatric surgeon in Arizona, and started to implement some of the changes he recommended (and lost 13 lbs in the process without ever feeling deprived). The book is very simple, and the focus is on whole, plant based foods, but within reason. It's not an all or nothing approach, or going vegan or something, but focuses on improvement and aiming for getting it right 80-90% of the time. His suggestions are divided into 12 sections that you can tackle over time, perhaps one per month for a year if a person is just trying to improve nutrition and build good habits. They range from things like cutting out artificial sweetener or eating more beans to eating a pound of vegetables per day. I found it really effective pre-surgery and it's an eating style I will be working to get back to as I am further out from surgery and have more capacity. Small changes you can sustain will do the most for building good habits for life.

That sounds awesome. I'll have to check that out thanks!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
