March Bandsters: MASTER THREAD

Recommended Posts

Well, I did it. I had the fill nurse put in .5 cc's today. She wanted to put in about 3, but I was not going to go from not getting fills to getting 3...

I have about 2 pounds more to lose to get to "overweight". I find that amusing. I probably won't be sharing that with any friends at home or my husband. Saying "Gee honey, lets Celebrate, I am finally overweight" to someone 6 feet tall and 145 pounds just can't go well...

Maybe I will get a pedicure.

Hi everyone

Quick ?Does anyone know if you don't finish your meals can you have the remainder for your snack?

I am not getting in much excercise but I guess the lack of eating will help.On a more positive note i am finally in the 240s and now have 33lbs gone.Hopefully,I will get more restickion and catch up to all you great losers:thumbup:

Good evening Charlie!

Welcome back Fenton, your Angels missed you! You are the testosterone that binds our estrogen, lol. And I agree with everyone above. Sorry, I am so exhausted that I am finding it hard to be super inspirational and perky, so I 2nd everything already said! Sorry for the piggyback ladies!

I am also finding it so hard to stay on track right now. I am a Recruiter for an international biopharmaceutical company, for contract and contract to hire positions. Due to an FDA rejection of a mere product label, I received an order yesterday for 120 people to start tomorrow relabeling the products! Suffice it to say, I am getting my butt kicked right now! I worked from 7am-9pm yesterday, same today, and I am scheduled to work 6am-12am'ish tomorrow. Yikes! My boss knows that we are working on fumes right now, so he is kind enough to buy us lunch and dinner. Every day. And if I say anything about my boss, it will be that he is sooo not hesitant to spend money! Last night, steaks. Yeah, I said steaks. Big, juicy, perfectly marbled and aged Kansas City cut bone-in Ribeyes, Filets, whatever we wanted! Today, I get to my branch from my offsite office to find pizza as far as the eye can see. Along with a rather extensive selection of deserts he ordered from the white tablecloth steakhouse that provided us dinner for the night before. Ugh, is he for real? I nibble on just about everything, and I have been eating my steak since yesterday, 3 meals pretty much covered it. I can say that I am still very pleased with my portions, just not with what I am putting into my mouth. And what is even worse is that I am missing, actually missing, my workouts. I haven't had any exercise since Sunday due to the hours that I am putting in. When I get home I have time to bathe, breath for 10 minutes, and go to bed. I am just really afraid to break my schedule, since it was so hard to establish one in the first place! Sorry that I am rambling, but I am pretty much delirious right now. I just had to make the time to post before I passed out for the night. It is one of my goals, to read everyday and to post as much as I can. I find that it makes a huge difference.

And as for the Couch to 5k, you guys have intrigued

me! I never pictured myself as a runner in any form, at least not in this life. But I dl'd a few podcasts, and they are really interesting. I am seriously considering giving this a try, at least when I have five minutes to myself.

And please forgive the sleep deprived of any typos in advance, I am sure that there are many.....

Hi Shamrocks, I'm back. Looks like everyone has been doing so well. I've moved and was without a computer for almost 2 months. On top of working summer school and taking classes myself this summer. I've lost some, but not as much as I should've. I have restriction, but are making bad food choices. I will be back on track soon. Anywho, it's late so I will update you all tomorrow.

Tess - I was able to run today!!! My leg is not as sore as Monday and Tuesday. I did not really follow the c25k because of those darn support hose from the EVLT. My usual walk is out our little country road 1 1/2 mile round trip. So I walked a mile and ran the 1/2 then did a cool down walk. The hose were bunched up at my knee, so I do not think I can do the intervals until after I have the other leg done (next Monday) I have to wear the support stockings for 7 days after the surgery. YUCK. But, I am running!!!!!

sugarbean I noticed at the bottom of your signature is a link to Phentermine forums. Are you taking this med? If so it seems a little strange to be on a drug and banded. You don't know if the band is working or the drug.

No, I am not taking this drug. It is just where it got my flashy, glittery star. I am a true bandster, promise.

Hi Shamrocks!

WCM - I would Celebrate. I can understand how you wouldn't want to share the information as a success with your spouse. I think it is wonderful. I hate that obese catagory!

Pat - what wonderful success. My theory is that I can eat what food I want for meals. (within our restrictions) Many times I'll go to a restaurant, eat what I need, then pack the rest away. If it is at lunch time, I sometimes eat the left overs for dinner. I hope to join you in the 240's soon!

Sugarbean - how wonderful that you ran! I honestly don't see that happening for me, but who knows?

Well today is fill day. I am pretty excited. (Funny how I can be excited about doing liquids!)

No running for me, I don't think my knee would survive. I do get in plenty of walking, usually 5 times a week.

I actually lost weight on vacation yippee!!!!!! What a surprise. I am going to consider that a definite victory.

Good luck with a fill today Hope.

I am back to Dr. Wynn on 8/8 and not sure if a fill is needed, but have to discuss the issue of another hernia...

Now I though getting into better health was going to alleviate all these issues, knee acting up and hernioa.. I can be grateful that I am not having any issues with Hair loss.< /span>

Take care all

Enjoy the middle of the week

Here-ish, just crazy busy.

Christine, sorry to hear about your mother-in-law. I wish you and your husband strength for handling that stress.

Back on the wagon for two days, weighed myself today. Ugh!

The Ticker must be fed!

What the hell??? They've screwed up the ticker link? Now when I click on it, it just enlarges, like those damn thumbnail photos and their damn attachments!

I must confess!

My ticker is now a lie: I put on 3 lbs, and am now 9 lbs away from the damn hundred.

Darn it all to heck!

Im having problems with my ticker also. I thought it was only me.

I can't even add a new one to my signature.

I posted a new thread on the main board and emailed tickerfactory.com.

It's wait and see time.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
