Dr. Aaron Hoffman - Lap Band done in Buffalo, NY (Dr. Hoffman)

Recommended Posts

Val, I sent Dr. Hoffman an email to see if he will be there. We all need a boost of his energy I think!

Thanks to you and Brubear for your supportive notes.

I did go last night and buy sugar free fudsicles and that helped. I am still eating too much but am essentially carb free. Even went to an outdoor concert at the Saranac brewery in Utica NY and did not have a beer. That was hard, let me tell you. One beer was free with admission. I love their pomegranite wheat. Maybe on phase II!!!

Take care, see you at the park Saturday at 8 am.

Debbie Maj, hope you can make it!

I do happen to have a blank copy here (fancy that!) If you want to send me a fax number or an address I will send it to you (and I will not even bill your insurance!, LOL)

If you send me that information though send it to my regular email, don't put it on the web site. ja1022@roadrunner.com

I will get it to you right away.

I want chocolate right now!!! I think I am just craving it because I cant have it.

Time to call team manager, Loraine.

Make the ricotta cheese/splenda/vanilla extract/baking cocoa concoction! Or, get some Sugar Free Chocolate Syrup and put it on it. It usually kicks the craving for me. I'm not a chocolate person, luckily, but just sometimes!!!! Argh!!!

I've had a bad week: wedding shower, hanging with friends, etc. I don't know how my appointment with Jeanne is going to go next week, I'm nervous!!

Saturdays are now officially out of the question since I go to camp on the 27th and until then I've got thing after thing on these last two Saturdays but when I come back from summer camp; I'm in! And DEFINITELY after I have my surgery. I just wish I didn't have to wait so long. Oh well. I'm hoping for success.

Funny, I did the ricotta thing, but I left out the vanilla. I will add it now. I am just in a crabby mood and I should not be as things are going well. Might be the heat, or at least I can blame it on the heat.

Hey, just an FYI to everyone, the lapband support group night has been changed. They have split the bandsters and the bypass.

Bypass is tomorrow and lap band is next week Wednesday.

Nicki-I will be able to go next week to the support group as I will be in town.

Take care everyone, Crabby Judy

Hey everyone, my husband had his surgery today! I am less then two weeks to go. Nervous. Judy I hope you feel better. Sometimes the heat can make me crabby too, Plus I have all this extra weight adding like a hundred pound blanket. Hang in there.

My husband loves the ricotta thing, however me not so much!

I did not realize that you were both doing it? I also did not realize that you are two weeks away. You must be so excited, but nervous--I can imagine.

Did you both have Dr. Hoffman? Let us know how your husband makes out.

That is ok Debbie-we are always there on Saturdays. We meet at the restaurant in Delaware Park. It was called the Juicery, not sure if it is the same name now. I will find out for you.

I called Team Captain Loraine today and dumped my crabbiness on her, so I feel much better. I am following south beach, but I think I am eating too much. I am worried that I will not be able to cut down when I have the surgery. I will have to ask Dr. Hoffman to pull that band REAL tight!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
