Hi Guys sorry I have not been on for awhile..... Just wanted to talk I had a Sleeve done Oct. 4th and I'm down 4 weeks later 28lbs..... Loving this new surgery. I went in Sept. for another unfill due to too tight once more after weeks of small fills. I battled the fill Bull@$*! too long and Dr. H looked at me and said let's do a Sleeve on you ASAP. I looked at him and said how soon can it be done.... With-in two days my ins approved me and I set the date two weeks later.... How's that for service... LOL...... Now you all know I was banded 12/17/07 and lost over 100lbs. Now that I'm Sleeved it's so much easier than the band was. So if anyone is out longer than two years and have stalled or having any trouble I so recommend the Sleeve to fix the problems. I found my recovery much easier than my band...... I feel great and have such control what I eat...... I'm so happy I did it.

thanks val, yeah, i was surprised myself, i too went for a fill like LLL and he said lets do it asap and 3 1/2 weeks later, im done. when i go to the other site for sleeve there are sooo many people switching from band to sleeve and they are all happy, i hope it all goes well with us. today i am not hungry, and my weight from the IV fluids are coming off cause i gained 9 lbs from surg and now only up 3, so that is good. im still nervouse about a leak, i guess 3 weeks is the magic number. didn't u say u didn't have a jp drain? which reminds me, i have to call for my post op.....glad ur doing well val and LLL.... and Hey to all my band siters too....HUGS vicki

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
