Central Ohio Get Together - March 8, 2008

I agree that we should postpone. I'm up for moving it to tomorrow if that works. We're under a blizzard warning until 4pm. I doubt the road crews will get anything done to the roads much before then. Also, Polaris is on a 2 hour delay... not even opening until noon.

I'll be at the mall tomorrow (Sunday) at 2pm if anyone can make it to meet me.

Yes the weatherperson finally got one right!!! Do you really think it is going to be cleared up by tomorrow. I think I will be lucky to dig out by Monday!!!

It is still snowing here and doesn't look like it is gonna stop anytime soon. I know that I am not going to make it tomorrow either. Delaware is now at a

level 3 and I live north of Delaware. I guess I'll see you all next month!!!

I am just gonna stay put untill Monday!!! Have fun with the snow!!!

What a picture SpecialK!!! We have about 12 inches on our driveway (had) and we had just shoveled everything from yesterday last night, so that's what we got after bedtime. It's crazy... but we're shoveled out and I've been watching cars (mostly trucks and suvs) drive down three this afternoon. Luckily the snow seems to have stopped... now it's just blowing. We're just waiting for the plows to get out and clear the roads.

Whoever can make it tomorrow, please try. It's funny to think that I had dreams of warmth when we scheduled this month's meeting last month... I was SURE it was going to be much nicer than it was then! LOL... anyway. Stay warm and safe!

My roads were plowed early this morning... I can get out of my neighborhood!!! WOO HOOO!

I'm heading up to Polaris and will be there at 2pm in the same place we sat last month. Hope to see some of you there.

I am so ready to get out of my house! I'm feeling very cooped up!!!

Yes, it looks like I will now be able to make it at 2pm also. It took alot of hard work with a snowblower and shovel, burning lots and lots of calories these last 2 days, but I think I can get to the road! That's huge progress for me.

Hunter, take it easy...you are too soon from surgery to being doing that kind of labor, buddy.

Carol, Minutes???? That implies there's an agenda and rules of discussion to follow! Oh my goodness!

Hi guys! Today's meeting was intimate but quite fun. We had about 5 of us and ended up hanging out for about 2.5 hours! LOL I'm only sorry that more of you weren't with us!

Our next meeting is scheduled for April 12 same place, same time. I'll post the reminder message when I'm done here.

Hope to see everyone there!!!

J: LOL I guess it does sound like that! I really just wanted to know how things went! You realize I won't be coming to next month's meeting either since I'll be banded on the 10th! Did you go?

I'm glad to hear it went well!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
