I am going to Tijuana on March 22 (surgery March 24) and I had a friend on another board suggest a massage, pedicure and a manicure before surgery to pamper myself, make me more relaxed and calm any nerves. Anyone know of a good day spa in Tijuana?

Not in TJ but I do know of a great place where I live. LOL!! Of course that is 3 hours North of San Diego. Would be happy to take you to my mani and pedi place if you wanna make the trek to me. Amtrak is cheap and it leaves from San Diego and drops you off where I live in Van Nuys.

The Aqua Caliente Spa in Tijuana is located in the hotel Finistra. The website is www.sdro.com/vitaspa/spa1.htm. They are very good and extremely affordable. All of the information on prices and treatments are on the site. They offer mid week specials as well.

I think this is a wonderful Idea. I hope you find a place.

I didn't leave the country for my surgery but a few days before my Lap Band I had my hair trimmed at one place. Had my eyebrows and stash waxed at another.

Finally used a year and a half old gift card for a 30 minute massage at a posh salon I don't normally go to. And of course had a mani and pedi at my usual place. Passed the time a bit and made me feel very special. SO I think it would be sublime to be able to do it all in one place right before surgery. Be pampered. This is your time.
