Let's give the girls a chance. Vote for Roger although Mark will rpbably make himself anerexic to win.

Kelly has a good chance since she has the most to lose if Roger is eliminated.

The girsl must be pissed to not be able to vote. I would be.

I haven't been to the BL message board in a while, anyone here ever go ? They changed the format a couple of years ago and made it a lot less fun.

I know that it's been posted ad nauseum but......that one guy just cries waaaaaaaay too much. I don't watch this show often, but every one I've seen, that guy is just a huge weeper. Grow a pair, dude.

I missed the first half hour because my support group was tonight. I forgot to set the DVR. It was worth it though because my surgeon came to support group tonight to talk. He is so great. He talked tonight about bowel obstruction. He said if anyone has pain between the breast bone and belly button that lasts more than an hour, go to the ER. He said bowel obstructions come from scar tissue. Good to know.

So anyway, I am all confused now. We can vote to bring someone back?

I bet the reason they started having the guys wear their T shirts during the weigh ins were because they have so much saggy skin. It's got to be pretty gross. I don't care who wins, except for Roger. He drives me nuts. And that pride on 3 is really getting on my nerves too.

Thanks for posting those links. I am going to check out the recipes.< /p>

There were too many tv shows on tonight for me to get my daily dose of LBT. I recorded Biggest Loser after I got home, and watched Big Brother and now I have to catch up on LBT. I will watch Biggest Loser tomorrow.

Yup, and it's not just him, he infected all of the guys with that crap. Man up, weeper.

Did weight losses of 12 pounds and more on week 15 seem at all unrealistic to anyone else? This is my favorite show on television. Literally the only 2 hours I watch consistently all week long. BUT, I cant help but think that last night's weigh in was fixed.

I am voting to keep Roger. He probably has a better chance of winning then Mark, but isn't that what the "biggest" looser is all about? Besides, Marks constant crying makes me crazy. LOL

I would much rather see one of the ladies win, but I dont know how in the heck that will happen. I love Alli to pieces, but she is SO tiny already. How much more can she possibly lose? Kelly might stand a chance.

Whoever wins will certainly deserve it. What amazing transformations! I wish I could sign up for that show with my DH! That would be so great to be able to work out as many hours a day as you want and have soemone to cook for you for a few months.

i think some of the weigh ins might have been over exaggerated, but it truly looks like Ali has lost a lot this week... i kept looking at her collar/shoulder bones ... wow...

i dont see her losing much more, but isnt it based on how much overall they lost? jillian told her last night she's lost the biggest percent ...

im going to vote to keep Mark in. i wanna see a girl take it this year and i really hope its Ali.

I actually like Roger more than Mark and Kelly more than Ali. My DH just shakes his head every time he walks by the TV and sees Mark crying one more time. He's no macho man but he can't stand it when men cry on TV and Mark is the worst. Everyone is complaining Kelly whines too much but it didn't really bother me.

But I'm still voting for him to stay as I also want one of the girls to win. I think Kelly has the best shot to win as she still has more to lose and I'd love to see the girl that started at the highest weight to win. It really bugs me that they don't cast heavier women, its like they think they would be just to "ugly" for America to want to watch. Grrrr...

I voted to keep Mark in too! I don't like Roger and I want to see a woman take it this year. I think if Roger makes it through, he will win. Marks crying does irritate me, but I do think he has changed in a good way. He was a total jerk at the beginning and I think losing weight has made him a better person.

I would be happy if either Ali or Kelly won. Ali has worked her butt off and I'm sure she could really lose too much more. Kelly still has a way to go so I could see her winning it if Roger doesn't make it through.

My vote goes to Roger. Did you notice that Mark almost cried and then he sucked it up? Maybe it's not just us that's tired of seeing him cry, maybe all the tv audience is tired. Hopefully he took his wifes advice and toughen up. I don't mind a man showing his emotions, I just don't want to see it every Tuesday.

Ali has lost a lot of weight and I'm wondering has she met her goal weight. She does look good. I am proud of them all in spite of their faults.

Gosh, I wish I had a friend like Jillian or Bob. I could use some tips on how to cook, keep my extra gum, one a day Vitamins, brita H2O with my lil green bottle and oatmeal.

I am new here today... and only two weeks out from my sleeve surgery on the 23rd. I am amazed I have kept my calories down to 467 today so far... that leaves me almost 750 left for dinner and maybe a snack. This is going to be tough for two weeks... but I have to believe I can do it!

Hey everyone. I'm new here so I thought I should introduce myself. I am 53y/o and am scheduled for Gastric Bypass on June 25th, 2025. I'm located in San Antonio, Texas. I will be having my surgery in Tiajuana Mexico. I've wanted this for years, but I always had insurance where bariatric procedures were excluded. Finally I am able to afford to pay out of pocket.  I can't wait to get started, and I hope I'm prepared for the initial period of "hell". I know what I have signed up for, but I'm sure the good to come will out way the temporary period of discomfort and feelings of regret. I'd love to find people to talk to who have been through the same procedure or experience before. So I look forward to meeting you all. Hope you have a great week!

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

I hope your surgery on Wednesday goes well. You will be able to do all sorts of new things as you find your new normal after surgery. I don't know this from experience yet, but I am seeing a lot of positive things from people who have had it done. Best of luck!

Life as a big person had limited my life to what I knew I could manage to do each day. That was eat. I hadn't anything else to look forward to. So my eating choices were the best I could dream up. I planned the cooking in managable lots in my head and filled my day with and around it.

Now I have a whole new big, bigger, biggest, best days ever. I am out there with those skinny people doing stuff i could never have dreamt of. Food is now an after thought. It doesn't consume my day. I still enjoy the good home cooked food but I eat smaller portions. I leave food on my plate when I am full. I can no longer hear my mother's voice saying eat it all up, ther are starving children in Africa who would want that!

I still cook for family feasts, I love cooking. I still do holidays but I have changed from the All inclusive drinking and eating everything everyday kind to Self catering accommodation. This gives me the choice of cooking or eating out as I choose. I rarely drink anymore as I usually travel alone now and I feel I need to keep aware of my surroundings.

I don't know at what point my life expanded, was it when I lost 100 pounds? Was it when I left my walking stick at home ? Was it when I said yes to an outing instead of finding an excuse to stay home ? i look back at my last five years and wonder how loosing weight has made such a difference. Be ready to amaze yourself.

BTW, the liquid diet sucks, one more day and you are over the worst. You can do it.
