Hi, Angie I am alo going to be banded by Ramos and actually just call my insurance company yesterday and was advised that I was approved. I am just stuck on what happens next? How long it will take once Barix recieves my approval letter

mrodr41~ Hi!! I wish I could answer that question for you. I really don't think it takes long at all though. Keep us updated, I'm about to submit to insurance and will be waiting for a date too.

Last night I started my 12 week nutrition program. (I think I talked Katies ear off I asked so many questions) She said once you have everything submitted it can take up to 2 months from that date to surgery date.

So I have 3 months of diet monitoring and then up to two months of waiting for surgery....It could be June for me...I want it now!!!!

I just got my approval letter in the mail from my insurance company. I am so excited I talked to Yolanda at Barix and she said they are backed up and it may not be until the end of Feb. or beginning of March before I can get in for my next appt. before scheduling me for the procedure.:)

I am excited that I finally got the acceptance from my insurance company it feels like it is going to take forever:cool:

My husband went to Barix in Groveport two years ago. They were awesome. Not in network, so high out of pocket ($5000). He had Dr. Vig, who is no longer there. But hubby continues to go there for fills, I think he saw Dr. Ramos the last time. He's lost 140 lbs and is still losing. The staff there were great.
