Good luck hopeinapril, i am scheduled for the 26th. I cannot believe how fast everything went, I have to be there at 8:30am. I know the clear liquid diet SUCKS!! but it is going to be worth it

I am on day 2 of clear liquids and I didn't think I was going to make it this far. I have one more day of liquids and then off to surgery on the 26th at 8:30am I am now trying to get things together to take with me. Any suggestions?

Happy Easter all !! I am scheduled for the 26th and I am starting the clear liquids today. I am so excited and thankful that I am working Monday and Tuesday it will keep my mind off of food. I am enjoying some sf jello right now for my breakfast. I do wish I could have a cup of coffee it smells so good but I will live

congratulations on your banding. I am scheduled for 3/26 and I am hoping I will be back to work within a week. What problem did you have after the procedure and how did you handle them? Was the gas pain bad? You can do it (stick with the liquids) I think it will get old real fast too but this is something we knew was going to happen sooner or later jut be positive and stick with it. You will be past that stage before you know it

Nurse Nikki, I am so excited for you,are you ready? Nervous,excited? Where are you having the procedure done? I am having mine at Barix by Dr. Ramos. I finally have a set date of 3/26. I cannot wait to hear everything about the procedure when you get back. I will be thinking of you

Congrat to everyone!!! My surgery date is 3/26 @ Barix in Ohio. I am so excited and happy for everyone. I know this is a step in my life to a better and healthier lifestyle. They have me on a 1500 calorie diet and gave me samples of different protein powders to try. Does anyone have a protein powder or shake that they love??

I am in Columbus and I am scheduled to have my procedure March 26th at Barix by Dr. Ramos. I just had my PAT today and I received a lot of information (great) the only thing I forgot to ask is what to bring with me the day of surgery. I do not want to bring a bunch of stuff I am not going to need. I also forgot to ask how long I will be off work afterwards. I put a call in for the work question but wanted to see if anyone out there can give me ideas of what was needed and not needed the day of surgery

I am from Columbus,Ohio too!! I just scheduled my surgery and will have Ramos as my surgeon. My surgery date is March 26th. I go in on March 5th for pre-admission testing. I am not sure what all is involved in that but I am excited. I am trying not to get overly excited and have not talked to anyone on my team at work about it yet. I am sure I will need to eventually. I am so thankful that we have this chat site. Does anyone have any good ideas of what to eat for breakfast,lunch and dinner for the pre-op diet? Right now I am eating ff,sf yogurt for breakfast a low-fat cheese for a morning snack,either a sm salad or sm bowl of tuna for lunch and then afternoon nack is Special K bar and then a light dinner. I think dinner is going to be the worst part of my day to get thru especially eating with my husband but I need to suck it up and get over it. Does anyone have any good dinner ideas for me? I know I am rambling on and on but I really have no one to talk to about all of this stuff

I just got my approval letter in the mail from my insurance company. I am so excited I talked to Yolanda at Barix and she said they are backed up and it may not be until the end of Feb. or beginning of March before I can get in for my next appt. before scheduling me for the procedure. I am excited that I finally got the acceptance from my insurance company it feels like it is going to take forever:cool:

Hi, Angie I am alo going to be banded by Ramos and actually just call my insurance company yesterday and was advised that I was approved. I am just stuck on what happens next? How long it will take once Barix recieves my approval letter

I called my insurance company yesterday and was advised I was approved for the procedure and was so excited. Then everything started running thru my head: What happens now?,How much longer till the procedure?,How long will I be off of work?,etc,etc,etc... Can someone please help answer some of my questions? Hi everyone!! I called my insurance company yesterday and they advised me that I was APPROVED. I was shocked that it went thru so fast, thought I would have problems. Now I need to wait for my letter and not sure what happens after that.. ( can anyone else help in that area??) Now I am also getting a little nervous about the procedure. I hear things about people not being able to swallow (what is that like is it scary?) also what about the pain and how long will I be off work?,etc.. Can someone,anyone please give me some advice on what to expect after approval and how long they think it will be from this point and also how long they were off work,etc... I am still waiting on approval from my insurance company (united) I called them last Wednesday and was told that it was still pending and to call back in 2 days and so on Friday I called back and was told by the rep that she could not find the paperwork and was told to callback again in a few days. That is so frustrating (the waiting) I hope I get approval soon, I already went thru the seminar and had my first consult and I am just waiting on insurance
