I got light headed and somewhat nauseous about the first 2 days. Especially when I stood up fast or was up too long. It's getting better now. I'm off the pain meds now, so that would be my guess as to what is causing this problem. As far as the blood pressure meds, I have no idea. I hope I was able to help a little.

I'm finally feeling a bit more like me again! most of the gas is gone but still have some issues there. I'm much more mobile and was able to get in 600 calories today. look for SlimFast low carb, they are 190 calories and have 20g of protein! I had half for Breakfast and half for lunch

that's great to hear SJK!! Gives me hope that I should be feeling "normal" again too. I was also banded on the 17th. I'm struggling with getting in the Optifast, Water, crystal light, and Soup. My surgeon wants me to have 3 Optifast shakes each day.....but today I had one (@ 11:00 am) and for dinner tonight I had about 1/2 of a creamy Tomato Soup (the small hand held soup to go from campbell's). Trying to follow the "no drinking" water or crystal light etc....30 minutes prior to meals and 90 minutes after meals..... What else did you have today to get in 600 calories? I think I'd feel better (more energy) if I could just get in some more nutrition. Any suggestions welcomed:)

I think I am not getting enough food in. I have been straining Soups and drinking the liquid or having a glass of V8 fusion. I haven't been keeping track of calories, I am sure it is too low. I tried doing one of my Protein Shakes but it gagged me. Didn't bother me before surgery... so not sure why I can't stomach it now. Same with SF Jello... YUCK.

My nutritionist recommended Carnation Instant Breakfast, mixed with 1/4 c. nonfat dry milk powder (for extra protein). When you mix both of these with 1c. milk it is 20 grams of Protein, 300 calories, and not too much to drink. I think that later on the calories are too high, but I find that I can drink 2 per day, along with some Soup and Jello. I like the taste a whole lot better than other Protein Drinks or SlimFast. I am feeling alot better with more calories, but I still get tired very easily!

today was not such a good day. I think I might be eating to much as I'm averaging 4oz a meal. Today I have gas again and my port area is very very sore. Also getting that tight feeling with no burping. Anyone else feeling like this 6 days postop?

I am feeling this way too. I was feeling great this morning, but after my 2nd shake, my port area started feeling very sore, and I had the fullness feeling in my chest. I was actually glad to get that, as I have not felt that much, and I have been able to get in about 900 calories/day and 32-48 oz of Water. I'm not sure what is up with the port hurting so badly. It almost feels a little tilted, like leaning forward. I hope everything is ok. I will see the Dr on Friday, so I will ask him then.

Tried Muscle Milk yesterday and was so gassy and nauseous. Grrr. Need to find a way to get Protein in!

Had half a can of cream of chicken Soup today. It was soooo good. About halfway through I had to take a deep breath, kinda sighed... realized I was done. So weird!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
