February/March 08 plastics

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

It's nice to see a Feb/Mar PS thread! I'm going for breast augmentation/brachioplasty in either February or March, I don't have a date yet. I'm going to post before/after pics, I'm a little worried about that, but I also COMPLETELY appreciate PS pics that are posted on here so I feel like I should share. Thanks for starting this thread!

Buffie

Congrats on your loss and upcoming PS. You have done really well

I am liking that tattoo Neal!!!! Not cheesy at all, I think that tattoos should mean something to the person that has them.

Buffie welcome aboard :myscared: Please dont feel like you have to do before and afters hon, I just wanted a record out there, but then I am brazen anyway

OMFG!!! Tami you are going to look amazing!!! What kind of weights are you pumping? I am just toning at the moment but you must be ripping to get that much definition!! When you lay down you can see just how awsome your results are going to be.

Ooooo I feel a high five coming on!!!!

Thanks, Nina. I've been busting it at the gym for the past few months, knowing that ps is around the corner. I work out an hour to 2-1/2 hours six days a week. I do quite a bit of cardio/Spinning, plus 2 group strength classes a week, and usually another 2 sessions of strength training on my own with weights or Cybex equipment.

Tami! Looking great. Look at those guns!

I am going to get another tat after my PS. I had a freind on another board draw it up for me. Kind of cheesy, but its a Phoenix to sybolize my rizing from the ashes. Probably going to add a little color to the head and tail:

Thanks, Neal. I love my arms and shoulders (my fav body parts!)

I love the new tat drawing! Believe it or not, a phoenix was one of the ideas I had, as well. Either that, or maybe a butterfly to signify the changes I've gone through, both physically and mentally, over the past year and a half. I found one drawing in that all-black, tribal look that I really like.

Buffie, welcome to the group!

Tami

Heres the picture of my tattoo close up. I am pretty darned pleased with it, I like the way it looks and it means a lot to me - there I am being sentimental again!

i LOVE LOVE that tat Nina! beeeeeuteeeeful! i have a few myself. the obligatory rose on the ankle (my first), then a crescent moon and stars on my right hip, the Chinese character for 'energy' on my back and the tribal symbol that i attached on my lower back.

Hi all. Guess I will post my before pics too.

YOU LOOK GREAT! once that skin is cut off you will be thin!! who would have thought 2 years ago we'd be here now???

Sorry to moan it has just negged me out a bit, they were all saying things like 'be realistic about the results that you want', is that polite speak for ' you too fat to even consider doing this '????

oh dear, then what would they think of me?? **eyeroll**

Did you notice our ticker in in days now instead of months and weeks! Getting ever so closer

i am so excited for you guys!!!!

I told friends on another board that I would *not* post "before ps" pics until I have "afters" to compare to, but if you guys are brave enough, then I am, too!

Tami

Tami,

your arms and shoulders look absolutely amazing!!! even your tummy, you can see the muscles. you are hot!!

Hi everyone,

welcome Buffie, i'll add you to the top.

I must admit that I can see how they would become addictive, I picked the basic design for it off the net but then we adapted it. I forget sometimes that I have got it!

I noticed the one that you have on your lower back in another picture, verrrrry nice!

Why were you beating yourself up on the other thread chick? I was about to reply then I had to do tea for the kids. Mt DH is an annoying little git who decided to go running the other day having done bugger all exercise in the last 3 years and ran 3 soddin miles!! I didnt know whether to hug him or kill him! LOL You have acheived amazing things hon, but noone can give 110% ALL the time it just wears you out, you put more into this than anyone I know, and if that means that you cant do the mini marathon that you wanted to do ( which if you think is only 10 weeks after your TT how will you train?) you can do the next one when you have built yourself up more. The important thing here is that you had the balls to set that as a goal, and I have every faith that by the end of this year you will be running those marathons chick!

More power to you hon, I cant even run for the flamin bus!

Tami - Boy can I tell that you work it babes, power to you ! I am determined to find something that I enjoy, I have to find a flipping gym first though!! Very very rural where we live!

Take care all my surgery buddies!

since i had my band removed in 06 (slip), i've hardly visited LBT, but i'm so glad i did!! the great news is i've continued to lose weight, the hard, old-fashioned SLOW way. i still have another 20 i'd like to shed. i had a consult with a plastic surgeon last week who confirmed that i have some excess skin and could benefit from TT. she also said that losing another 20 wouldn't impact the results of the TT. that lots of patients are motivated after their TT and lose more weight. several friends with TT's have confirmed this. NOW, another thing she said...what i thought was FAT and easily remedied with Lipo on my upper arms is SKIN...and only an upper arm lift would fix...and even then not completely. also wouldn't benefit from lipo on fat thighs...same thing...SKIN. ( i work out a lot). so that's a bummer. Anyone? anyway, plan to move ahead with TT, although i'm kinda scared...recovery's long. i had three surgeries b/c of band (one to place, one b/c of slip, third to remove b/c of slip #3) and don't look forward to another...Anyway, I'm rambling. Anyone with thoughts/comments, etc. on above -- would appreciate it. will let you know when i have a date. good luck to all.

Hi, My name is Sheri and this is my 1st time to post. I have been researching ways to get rid of all this UG skin from my 100lb weight loss(luv my band). I kept the weight off for 3 yrs but @108lbs and everyone saying I was to skinny(what!!!)I desided to remove my fill(bad idea)that was in June and I gained 27lbs. Im refilled now and really got to do something. I have wanted PS for a while now and I have a appt. with a PS in Houston on 1/15 ok enough about me . I have been reading this forum for about 2 weeks and I love it ! Y'all are so great in the way you help one another. The info I have gotten here has been a great help and with my appt on this Wed. I need all the help I can get. I dont know why but I am overwhelmed :eek:by the whole PS idea and finding the right doc. I will turn 40 at the end of March and hope to have a new body before. I would welcome any and all help I can get. THANKS SO MUCH!!

Hi everyone,

This is my last post before I go and get on my first flight to manchester to travel on to Lyon, I have got a real mix of feelings even though it is only the final consult and pre-op. I am worried that he will have changed his mind - how mad is that!

Elizabeth - It sounds to me that you will probably benefit from a full Lower Body Lift( LBL), that way you will do your tummy, butt and outer thighs all at once. Then that only leaves your arms!!

I would research all the different techniques and options there are out there, before you decide what suits you.

I still have weight to lose, but I had already booked this and there is no way I am putting it off!

We are always around so if you want to ask questions or just chat this is the place.

Sheri- It is a big decision to go for PS!!LOL Have you decided what surgeries you want yet or are you going to play it by ear when you get into the consult? It is tomorrow isnt it?

Why dont you make a list of all the questions that you want to ask, for example my list had on it ;

Can I see before and afters of your patients?

How many cases of necrosis have you had?

How often do you have to do revisions?

Do you use the high lateral tension technique?

Will I need drains

How long will I be in hospital?

What pain meds do you provide?

If I need revisions who pays for them?

What % have dog ears?

What % have problems with a 'ken doll'

Does the price include all fees meds hospital stays and follow ups?

Just add any others you can think of.

You might want to both take a look at www.makemeheal.com

Go onto message boards and find the Tummy Tuck one, the ladies there are very helpful!

Good luck with your appointment!

Nina x

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
