He he he lapbandit. Aren't there plenty of single men on here who would understand your journey? At least your grocery bill would be small!

I'm married without kids.

I'm married (2nd marriage) but no kids yet. It hasn't really been my weight stopping me, but my life...career, my first marriage ending, meeting my hubby at the time that I did in relation to my career. Now I have to finish anesthesia school before I can try to be a mom. By then, I should be at my goal weight and able to keep pregnancy weight gain to the recommended level...provided I can get pregnant by then. We'll see! Balancing career and wanting to have a family has been tough.

I'm 34 and live in southern California ... I'm also married and have 4 kids (all boys!) I was banded 7/28/07 and I've lost 60+ lbs since my surgery, a total of 80+ lbs since my highest weight in February of last year. :biggrin1:

Hi everyone

I am 38 - well 39 next month and I live in Ipswich - Australia. This year is it for me!! No more putting it off!! I was banded in 2005 and lost 20 kilos and everything was going well until the 3rd fill which was too tight. I wasn't able to eat much and I think my metabolism slowed right down and I had some taken out which was ok at first but most of the weight came back on - but now the band is too loose. I was disapointed and upset and I stopped going to the gym and thought "what the hell" but I have realised that I did not do this to simply give up as soon as I hit a bump in the road so I am going back this week to have more in and to try again with a new attitude!!

:help: :whoo:

from this 2007 to this 2008

I am 34 y/o with two teenage daughters (had one at 19, one at 21) banded in sept and have lost 47 lbs. I was just married (2nd times the charm) one year ago -live near Seattle, Wa- realized that everything in my life is falling in place but that my weight had gotten way out of control and I had to take back the control or I would never be completely happy so here I am. Nice to see everyone.

I'm Crystal and I'm from the D/FW, TX area!

I'm 34 years old and I'm pursuing this lap band so I'll quit knocking shit off people's desks with my big arse. Also, so I can fit in a movie seat comfortably, but most importantly I don't have any kiddo's and want to have one. Me and my husband got pregnant in 11/05, but I had a miscarriage and lost the baby. I'm guessing it was because of my weight, though I've had friends that were 300 + deliver healthy babies, but I guess my body wasn't ready (I was like 260 then). Anyway... I'll find out in the next month if I get approved. All my stuff is done and now it's just the waiting game!!

coolcrystal

There are two amazing folks from your area on bycyling (yes, I know it's spelled wrong) forum. Stephanie and Brandon. They aren't a couple, it's just a small world.

You should check them outs. Stephanie is so motivational and Brandon is a super nice guy.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
