Preparing for Band in Tyler Texas!

I just found out today that my insurance will pay for my band and my surgery date is March 7th. :whoo:I am so happy! For some reason I did not think that I would be approved and I was on phone daily with the insurance company checking on progress and missing documents. This forum has been a wonderful outlet :o Is anyone else on this forum using Dr. Babineau here in Tyler?

I am also reseaching and wanting to do the band. I also fear that insurance will not pay. Did you have to fuss w/them a lot or was the process easy? I know about 5 people who have used Babineau and they all are happy, but they paid themselves.

I am from Longview... I got banded 11/30/07 and doing good. It is nice to see some people from east texas. I used Dr. B and loved him. You will like Cathy who is the person you have the most contact with and Dr. B does a very good job. I know several people that have used him for Gastric.

I agree it is nice to have someone from East Texas. That is so wonderful! I am glad that you are doing well. I see that we have about the same weightloss goals. If you don't mind me asking, when you had the appt. before the surgery, what was it about? What can I expect? Did you just have to do one day of the clear liquids before surgery? Thanks in advance
