Walking and swimming are good. Walking is highly recommended in the first weeks right from after your surgery so it would be beneficial to start that before. Post surgery walking helps protect you from clots, helps to eradicate the surgical gas in your abdomen & doesn’t stress or strain your healing post surgery body. Also there are lots of low impact cardio exercises you can do at home available on You Tube.

It’s good to start building your strength too as maintaining (& building) muscle while losing weight is important. Buy some resistance bands and simple hand and ankle weights & again there are You Tube videos available with exercise ideas using the bands & weights.

Some people may be able to recommend some specific videos. I watched a few when I began to get ideas and incorporated old dance and yoga stretches and developed my own routines.

All the best.
