Can't pass my nicotine test

I don't smoke or vape, my husband does. No matter what I do, I'm above the cutoff. I've taken 3 tests, first I was at 5.2 (almost passed), second I was at 22, now third I'm at 41! This is the Mayo Clinic urine test. I absolutely can't figure out why the harder I try the higher I'm scoring. My doc just wants one negative and I've got 3 weeks until surgery. I'm cleaning bedding, surfaces, he barely vapes around me anymore. I'm starting to believe this is impossible and I'm seriously about to give up. What do I do?

I’d tell him to sleep in another room for the next 3 weeks and get an air purifier running nonstop in your bedroom. That test is super sensitive, and even small traces from vaping can build up. You’re

I’d tell him to sleep in another room for the next 3 weeks and get an air purifier running nonstop in your bedroom. That test is super sensitive, and even small traces from vaping can build up. You’re not doing anything wrong, but you need a total break from exposure if you want to pass.

Thank you. I bought a HEPA filter with added charcoal filtration. I've had zero exposure that I know of. I literally freaked when I got out of the car yesterday and someone was smoking and I had to walk by. It's like everything is fighting it. He hasn't taped anywhere near me or in the house at all since Monday (not that he did much at all before) but enough, I guess. I've washed all surfaces, changed linens, used clarifying shampoo all over my body, washed dogs, and am not walking barefoot inside in case of carpet exposure. I'm running the HEPA on high. It better be negative next week. Dr. Messaged me and said he just needs to see it stabilize and not increase and he will feel satisfied with what I've done, so that makes me feel better too. Fingers crossed 🤞. I appreciate your response.
