I had my lap band removed in 2018. Since, I would occasionally get a cramp-like pain from the old port area on my left side. Now, after 7 years, the pain is worse. Yes, I will see my dr about it, but has anyone else experienced this?

50+ years ago I was operated on by butcher. He opened me up from my pubic bone to the middle of my ribs. He sure needed lots of room for what is now laproscopic surgery. This mahoosive scar has terrible internal adhesions. My bariatric surgeon kindly repaired a bunch of these. I am telling you this because the adhesions would feel like they were ripping at times. It hurt. I wonder if you are suffering with something similar. Big hugs

I had mine removed in 2016 and I have had increasing pain also. I talked to the surgeon, and they could go in and clean up as much as possible. But, and this is why I put up with this pain, the process to remove the scar tissue would most likely lead to more scaring.
