Wellbutrin-what to take it in to mask the taste

So I take Wellbutrin and after surgery I am supposed to crush it and take it with applesauce. I guess for better absorption. It tastes soooo nasty! I gag and can hardly get it down. I have been taking it whole, but I asked the pharmacist today if I really need to crush it and yes is the answer. Tried tonight with protein pudding ?

what do y’all do?

thanks!!

I take Wellbutrin too and had my surgery in December on a Tuesday and was swallowing the pills whole by Wednesday night. No one ever told me otherwise. I haven't had any issues either. Not exactly sure why you need to crush it.

Thanks. I think they put to crush it for right after surgery, but I didn't have any trouble taking pills. I messaged my doctor and she said the same. So...I'm guessing I just need more sleep.

I take Wellbutrin 150 and I took it the day after surgery without issue but it is a little smaller than the 300. I am pretty sure some of my other meds were about the same size as the 300. Did your Dr say you needed to crush it or was it the pharmacist??

I take a smaller amount of water mixed with honey and then pour in my crushed Wellbutrin and get it down that way. I also make sure to wash the pill down with milk or juice after I take it so there isn't an awful taste left behind. Good luck! This is just my personal experience with managing the taste.
