Recommended Posts

I’m feeling really well but I notice some what foul taste, and at nights cramping pain forcing me to the stool. Wondering is this lactose intolerance. Because if the shakes? I’m using premiere . I’m going to try only using the premiere in the mornings .

The bad taste could be ketosis or even some reflux (gerd). If it’s ketosis that’s good. It means your body is burning fat. If it’s reflux, a PPI will help if you’re not taking one.

Lactose intolerance usually involves sharp cramping & diarrhoea usually within a couple of hours of eating a lactose product. Artificial sweeteners can cause cramping & diarrhoea too (especially the sugar alcohol ones - those whose names end in ‘ol’). Of course it won’t hurt to avoid lactose & see if it helps. But chat with your surgeon to be sure & your dietician for alternative food suggestions.

Drinking my favorite Premier Protein Shake for breakfast, and planned a nice healthy lunch today. Protein first, Veg second, then fruit, and carbs last.  💪

Hello, I am 53 years old and just in the beginning of my process.  Lost my required weight prior to surgery, Psychological evaluation completed, meet with surgeon, meeting monthly with dietitian and now waiting for the perapproval from insurance.  Hoping for April or May.  Still to do on my list is joining a support group.  My weight loss clinic has one but I would like this as an option too.  I will be having the gastric sleeve surgery.  Excited for this journey.   Thanks for your support.
