Sept 20th was my SD and I need some company

Recommended Posts

I had my surgery, sleeve, 7 days ago and now on full liquids. Lost 12 lbs so far. Weighing on fri or sats only, so far self control is ok, I’m not a scale person. Getting annoyed w liquids to “eat”, lose confidence and have regrets each day but it usually only happens at night when my house goes to sleep. I’m a mom of 4 and just need some hand holding or someone to vent with. I have tried a purée or two but it hurts to go down. I was told I can take a tsp once a day but I feel like the opening to my stomach is swollen or something. Even liquids hurt a lil and I’m surly siping. Still have gas pains too. Any one who’s made it to the end of the tunnel, any advice would be ok, or if anyone can relate to the “pain” and the bottom of the center of my chest, very top of belly when swallowing.

You are in THE worst of it and almost done. Everyday you will feel better and better. I kept a journal to look back upon to remind myself of what I had overcome, and the improvements I had made. If you dislike writing do a little video journal for yourself. I found a hobby too, and lots of non food rewards. You are a butterfly coming out of a chrysalis! This yucky part is almost done. Of course if you continue to have pain and can’t swallow liquids, call your doctor immediately! I took longer at each stage too:)

You really made my day and night with those words. I’ve read it a few times already and feel a lil better each time. Thank you so much! And I literally grabbed a notebook just now and wrote out today and yesterday’s feelings and things and I see the differences already. I did feel worst yesterday than today and k tolerated some Protein Shake this morning compared to yesterday. THANK YOU!!

Just keep drinking! Also there’s a short weight loss stall near you. Not to worry about, ignore the scale when it happens. Look up 3 week stall on here to see more. You’ve got this!

Hey October Surgery friends...how are you doing? I've lost 15 lbs since surgery on 18th.42 lbs overall. Wearing clothes that feel great. Had a bout of cold and stomach flu and still having some nausea off and on after that but getting better, I think.
Seems like I fill up and have minor pain quicker when I eat hot foods rather than cold. Anyone else notice this?
Still sooo glad I did this.

I had surgery Oct 29. Lost 35#. Plateau now. But seeing what clothes fit now is encouraging.

Hi I just saw that you are in Las Vegas too. We are going to the same center. Dr Laduc in same office as Dr Atkinson, is doing my sleeve on Nov. 28th.  I wish you the best!
