Day 4 of the liquid diet. I was really hungry this morning. But, tonite is my company Christmas party.

I spoke to the nutritionist and she told me to have 2 slimfast shakes today, and I can eat veggies and broiled chicken or fish tonite. Then its back to the liquid.< /p>

I have taken to having a smoothie once a day that is 300 calories, Og fat, 45g Protein. It fills me up for hours.

Hey there! I had a horrible headache on my pre-op diet, too. I decided to go cold turkey on coffee which is what set off the headache. After 2 days of fighting it, I fixed myself a small cup of coffee with a little bit of cream and sugar and sipped it for a few minutes. The headache went away. I didn't have to drink coffee for the remainder of my pre-op liquid diet, either.

I also used to suffer from migraines.. at least one a week or one every 2 weeks. I was banded on 12/13 and in the 2 weeks since then, I haven't had a headache/migraine at all. I'm thinking maybe they were triggered by my daily caffeine/carbonated beverage intake.

Good luck to you tomorrow!

I am officially off caffeine forever!!!! It has been 46 days since I had my last Diet Pepsi with Lime. I used to live to drink that drink!!! I still have a few 12 packs in my garage. I thought that I might be tempted by them. Not a chance. Now I just need to toss them! I feel so good. I attribute alot of my weight loss to quitting the Soda pop. Of course, when I would drink that crap I always had something to eat as well. This LapBand has been life changing!!

Good luck to the rest of you!!!

Awesome job quitting the sodas. I quit them too and I have to say I feel a tons better. Even though I quit the caffeine drinks more than a couple of years ago, quitting even the caffeine free drinks helps too.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
