Surgeries The Week Of December 17

Hey there! This is a short-term thread for discussion of those who are having surgery the week of December 17-22. I am having surgery on Thursday, 12/20. Very excited and very nervous. Not sure what to expect. Anyone else having surgery this next week?

I am Monday..... YIKEs

Awfully damn close... awfully damn anxious... a little scared (more of the pain then anything)

ready for the new me!

I am having surgery on Tuesday, the 18! I am nervous, scared, but also excited!

Surgery tomorrow 17th at 6am. I am calm at the moment. I can't wait to have real food again. I've been on clear liquids since noon yesterday. I'm not as hungry today as I was yesterday. But I was told to be on clear liquids until the 20th. Hope everything goes well for everyone here. Me included.

I'm being banded around 1:30 on Tuesday the 18th. I'm starting to get a little nervous. It's toughest because I'm trying to make sure everything is done for Christmas before surgery so that I can recuperate without guilt. :-)

Hey all I am getting banded on Dec 18! I am excited, but fear has overcome me at the moment. I am scared to death. I have lost about 10lbs on the liquid diet, What about you all?

My surgery is at 11am on Tues the 18th. As of Friday I've lost 13 lb on the 2-week Medifast 5+1. Getting sick of these particular rehydrated foods, though, and the idea of liquids isn't daunting right now because I just want some different tastes in my mouth!

Best of luck to everyone with surgery scheduled this week! I'll post again on Thursday or Friday.

I'm only on a 1 week version of that diet, but I could have written your post... I can hardly wait for the full liquid stage. It's to the point that I am having trouble even making the shakes to drink right now. I have NO interest... the only upside is the weightloss.

Wow, you all are a few days before me this week. Please post your experiences in this thread so I can check them out and see how things go. I'll try to do the same! Good luck, everyone! I'll be praying for you all!

The 18th for me! No diet, just no food or liquids after midnight!

Too busy to think about it! Maybe tonight.

RE: medifast - I found that the taste of the rehydrated medifast foods was vastly improved by letting them sit for awhile. Plus I added sugar free espresso syrup flavors to them - vanilla shakes got hazelnut, amaretto, or coconut, chocolate got peppermint, hazelnut, or coconut - not as bad!

Had my last medifast meal this evening (banana pudding w/coconut sugar-free syrup) - whew. Looking forward to chicken broth, mushroom Soup, fruit smoothie, etc.

Hi! I'm getting banded on the 19th! I was originally scheduled for Nov.9th, but backed out bc i was too scared (Never had surgery before)... But I go in Wednesday and I'm getting pretty nervous... Good Luck to everyone this week!

Hey there! I hope those of you who already had your surgery are doing well. Mine is tomorrow (Dec. 19) I am getting anxious and a bit scared, but I am soooooo ready to start my journey to a heathier, happier me !:)

I had to be on a liquid diet 10 days pre-op and I have to agree with Haeather A....I am having trouble drinking my required amount....I'd rather just not eat. The problem w/me is I think not getting enought calories has slowed my weight loss and I am "afraid" of getting grief about that in the morning. LIke they may think I haven't been on the diet....I am probably just freaking out and over-analyzing. Bad Habit of mine:rolleyes

Talk with you on the other side (of banding that is:clap2:)
