  4. Hi there! I have been reading for some time now, but haven't posted much. My surgery date is TOMORROW!!! (Dec. 19th). I am nervous and excited, worried the surgery won't work and sure it will ....all at the same time! I am making myself a little crazy here. Well, wish me luck. I'll be post-band tomorrow...YEAH! :whoo: Cheri
  5. Hey there! I hope those of you who already had your surgery are doing well. Mine is tomorrow (Dec. 19) I am getting anxious and a bit scared, but I am soooooo ready to start my journey to a heathier, happier me ! I had to be on a liquid diet 10 days pre-op and I have to agree with Haeather A....I am having trouble drinking my required amount....I'd rather just not eat. The problem w/me is I think not getting enought calories has slowed my weight loss and I am "afraid" of getting grief about that in the morning. LIke they may think I haven't been on the diet....I am probably just freaking out and over-analyzing. Bad Habit of mine:rolleyes Talk with you on the other side (of banding that is:clap2:) Cheri
  6. Thanks for all the input, I truly appreciate hearing from all of you. One more question...those of you who have been banded for awhile, can you eat a "normal" small portion of food? I have felt out of place and conspicuous because of being fat....will I be out of place and conspicuous because it never looks like I eat anything? Do you ever get to a point when you can just feel NORMAL??
  7. I am in the process of getting medically approved for the band, and while I wait, I second guess myself all the time. I am a huge emotional eater and often eat way past full. I am concerned that I will still eat out of control after the band and then feel like I have let my self down yet AGAIN with my efforts to lose weight and be healthy. I am really scared that if this fails, I am doomed to be fat forever. Anyone out there regret getting the band? Would you do it all over again? Do you think it truly helped you lose the weight, or should I just find the willpower to lose 100+ lbs AGAIN the old fashioned way??? I appreciate your thoughts on the issue!
