I had lapband in March/07 with a starting weight of 226 (5' 6").I am now down to 150...5lbs from goal.He said I would lose another 10lbs with surgery!!!! I am having a full extended tummy tuck.Lipo of the thighs, hips and back. Also a breast lift,I had augmentation in 2000 but have breastfed two kids since then .So now I basically just have big boobs hanging south! My cost is $11,200.I am so excited I can hardly stand it!!! I have always had a stomach even before I got heavey so I can't even begin to imagine what a flat stomach feels like! I am not shy so I will definitaly post before and after pictures. He said I will have to go home with a foley for two days and drains for two weeks. My husband and I are both nurses so we will be fine with that.I just wanted to share and hope I help someone along the way......~Amy~

karey, i feel ya! i was bored senseless - that's why im back at work 1/2 time. i felt like i was going crazy!!

how is your mobility?

C- I'm finally able to get up and down without any help. I don't feel too sore really, not sure why I feel as tired as I do. Wish I could go back to work part time, but it's difficult to look professional with 5 drains hanging all over you! Just have to remind myself that I asked for this and it will be good. Right!?

Karey,

of course you asked for this insanity ... we all did!:eek::smile:

i was literally climbing the walls here, my half day was kinda boring as well, but at least i got to see people :blushing:

glad you are up and about more. yesterday was the first day i didnt take a nap, today i took one when i got home ... its a grueling process this surgery ... recovery is going to take awhile. we'll make it.

Amy you are GORGEOUS! I am so proud of your whole journey, and then being brave enough to share!

Although I AM going to pick a bone with you about taking a picture of bending over with your skin....great, I never thought to look at my belly like that...and of course I did....and of course I was horrified...OH GOD I WANT PS!!

:grouphug:

Hi, I had my hip lipo, tummy tuck & breast lift done on wednesday! I'm still pretty immobile, it hurts getting up so I'm staying down as much as possible. It's hard to tell what everything looks like under the dressings & I'm a little swollen right now, but I can't wait to see my new boobs & flat tummy! Nurseamy you look fabulous! How long was it before you were walking properly?

CONGRATS ice cream--hope you get to feeling better soon. I'm sure you look FIERCE under all of the "stuff"

IceCream: Congratulations! You're going to feel 100% better in 2-3 days. I am able to get up and down now quite easily. Why don't you join the Feb/March plastics thread? I'm 10 days out now and I'm walking quite upright and without pain. Just rest and enjoy the fact that you can. Speedy recovery!

Thank You for the compliments!!!

I am so not a tatoo person and got that one on a drunk night in my early 20's and was VERY glad to see it go..so no more for me any time soon!!

I am still trying to stand up straight,it truly feels like I am going to split in two!!!

Amy, GREAT pics! You are looking fantastic. I went to Coastal last Thursday and got some Juvederm injections. I can't afford a neck lift or tummy tuck right now, but the marrionette (sp?) lines and hollows under my eyes were really bugging me (they also happened to be having a "spring special" Thursday and Friday when I just stopped in!). I'm fairly bruised now, but I think when that goes away I will be very satisfied. They said it would be about 30 days before everything "settles".

Amy: Looking great! I'm suppose to go to Puerto Rico with my DH in 3 weeks. I was wondering about the compression garment and a bathing suit, but I guess you just don't worry about it?! Did you have to travel far? I still hurt when bouncing in a car. Did the travel make you swell more?

loving the updates from everyone!
