Nurseamy's tummy tuck/Lipo/Mastopexy

Hello,I do not post much because I am the slowest typer in the world! But I am totally inspired by all the threads and pictures.I thought I would start my own for one because I am so Freakin excited and two I hope to help anyone else that is looking into plasic surgery.I went for my consult yesterday and I have an Appt for Feb 22cd!!!! I had lapband in March/07 with a starting weight of 226 (5' 6").I am now down to 150...5lbs from goal.He said I would lose another 10lbs with surgery!!!! I am having a full extended tummy tuck.Lipo of the thighs, hips and back. Also a breast lift,I had augmentation in 2000 but have breastfed two kids since then .So now I basically just have big boobs hanging south! My cost is $11,200.I am so excited I can hardly stand it!!! I have always had a stomach even before I got heavey so I can't even begin to imagine what a flat stomach feels like! I am not shy so I will definitaly post before and after pictures. He said I will have to go home with a foley for two days and drains for two weeks. My husband and I are both nurses so we will be fine with that.I just wanted to share and hope I help someone along the way......~Amy~

Amy: Looking great! I'm suppose to go to Puerto Rico with my DH in 3 weeks. I was wondering about the compression garment and a bathing suit, but I guess you just don't worry about it?! Did you have to travel far? I still hurt when bouncing in a car. Did the travel make you swell more?

I only had to travel 1.5hrs.I just wore the garment when I did not have a bathing suit on(you can see the marks from my garment on the one with my pink bathing suit)I was swollen from the trip..I weighed 4lbs heavier

last night when we got home than I did this morning. Have fun in Puerto Rico!!!

Hi Kareyquilts,

You were right I'm feeling much better & i'm able to get up & down with alot less discomfort. Could you send me a link to the plastics thread, I can't seem to find it. Thanks.

Amy you look beautiful! How wonderful does it feel to be so sexy?

Thank You!! LOL But,I do not feel quite "sexy" yet...I still feel like crap! I am beginning to wonder if I will ever feel normal again?? This as been a longer recovery than expected:bored:

Amy: Can you be more specific about how you feel? Still having a hard time standing straight? Lots of swelling what? Just don't have the stamina? Wondering if I'll be saying the same things in a couple more weeks!

Holy COW! I mean! Not cow!!! You're gorgeous, woman! I'm so happy for you. Soooo happy. Now onto living, right?

You are such an inspiration for me to get to my goal and do the surgery.

I cannot wait to join you girls in the flatlands! Boobs fleshy, tummy flat, not the other way around which is what I have now!!! lol

HIi Karey, I am just still very sore and still having a hard time standing straight.I do have some swelling, but not much.I am just very achy sp? It is hard to describe:rolleyes:Best way to describe it is I feel like I have been beaten with a baseball bat sliced in half and put back together:confused_smile:I have 3 little ones so it has been hard for me to just relax so I think this has effected my recovery.I am really not a wimp either,I had my 1st baby with no epidural and have done great with other surgeries.Post Op Blues...big time!!!I am sure you will be fine in a couple of weeks!!!
