abdominal cramping after surgery 1/31

Hi y'all,

I had VSG 1/31/22 and everything went well I guess. Starting on Wednesday/thursday every time I take a sip of water or broth I start to get these "rolling cramps". No lie they almost feel like contractions. At first I thought it was the whey protein I was adding to my broth, but even after cutting that out, it is still happening. I had some sips of water just now and it happened immediately after. Is something wrong? Do I need to go back to the doctor?

My plan is to go outside and walk a lot today, but the pain makes me leery of doing that.

Give your medical team a call. New, different or unexpected pain should be looked into. It could be something simple, like healing muscle spasms, but always better to be sure.

All the best.

It couldn't hurt to call your surgeon's office just to ask if this is normal or sounds like a problem. I get those feelings sometimes depending on what I eat especially if I eat too much protein at one time.
