crystal light, cherry pomegranate.

I live on that stuff. It's what I chose last year to replace my diet soda habit, and I drink quite a bit of it.

My Covid test was today for surgery on the 8th. I’m expecting my brain to pour through my sinuses, lol.

They do mine the morning of at the hospital. I have been sick for 3 days now, just a head cold but I am stressing out. My surgery is the 21st so I really hope I am 100% by then. I don't want it to be cancelled and I don't want to have to go through recovery not already starting at 100%!

I can't believe it's surgery month. I'm so excited and a little anxious. I hope everybody is doing well. I found the surgical binder on Amazon, thanks! I ordered it, some Protein Shakes and a case of crystal light, cherry pomegranate.

I haven't been feeling the best, checked my urine, yep a UTI. I tend to get these once a year. The antibiotics make me nauseated and so I haven't been eating well at all.

I've got the liquid stage set. Do you have foods in mind for the second phase?

Feel better soon!!!

Well I'm officially sleeved. March 2nd has come and gone. I'm at home typing this in my bed now. I was sooo nervous, I had never had any kind of surgery before. My appointment was at 1:30p but I got bumped up to 10am (someone tested positive for Covid and lost her spot). The scariest part to e was not waking up from being put under (strange? I know right... but you don't pick your fears. Ha!) All went well and I was discharged from the hospital today. I'm not in any pain, just a little gassy from the surgery. I wish you all well and I guess I have to find another post to type in now. Good Luck to the rest of you all. I hope your surgery goes smooth and by the book like mine did!

Thank you! Good luck and blessings to you. I've traded my Water for the Premier Protein Clear drink. That way I can stay hydrated and get my Protein in at the same time.

I'm home!! Surgery went well, but I had to stay an extra day because my new pouch was quite swollen and I had a ton of drainage in the drain my surgeon put in my abdomen. The only narcotic I got the whole time there was 1 oxycodone the evening after surgery. Otherwise I was given timed non-narcotic pain meds that worked great! I'm on them (Tylenol and Flexeril) for another few days. And because Constipation is so common I'm on Colace twice a day for 30 days.

Pre-op appointment today. 2 week pre-op diet starts Monday. I've got to get some blood work and an ekg. My surgery is a revision. Distillation of my gastric bypass. It is out patient, I'll be home same day. They aren't doing anything with my pouch which is why it's out patient. I'm excited for the 21st to get here.

Day four of the liquid diet. I’m struggling a bit and really don’t want to drink anymore.

What is your liquid diet? Do you HAVE to drink everything or drink what you can?

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
