StratusPhr, what surgery are you having? Maybe I missed an earlier post, sorry. Are you having a conversion from gastric sleeve or lapband?

Revision from sleeve to RNY. Have you had a second surgery or are you scheduled? Good luck!

Hello. I am one day post ByPass. 24 hours ago at this time I was taking deep breaths from a mask and waking up 4 hours later in PACU. I went to my room an hour after getting to PACU and started walking within the hour. I had little 1oz glasses of Water on a table next to my bed and started sipping. I didn’t drink enough last night but I did OK. Around 7PM all the Fluid I had gotten IV decided to start coming out. For the next ten hours I was up to the bathroom every 30 minutes. No real sleep last night.

I got a temp of 100.5 around 10PM. I got IV Tylenol. It seemed to go away this morning but it is a little concerning. I decided to avoid pain meds so I am sore but it is tolerable. I feel incredibly bloated and look forward to getting the gas out. No other real symptoms at this point. The residents said I will probably go home today but the surgeon hasn’t come yet. I feel like it is going well.

How are you doing now?

I had a heart issue after my surgery so I am just on my way home from the hospital now after a week. I felt pretty good after 2 days but had to stay in the hospital until they found a drug that would work for me. Water is going down easily and I’m on full liquids. I don’t think I lost anything in the hospital with the IVs.

Congratulations to everyone who has been scheduled! I'm hoping it goes well! I had my first week post op appointment today, I've to go back in three weeks for the switch to the soft food diet. I was cleared to start taking multivitamins and also to start the pureed diet come the weekend. I think the first thing I want to try is a scrambled egg mixed with cheese.

Good luck to everyone having their operations, I'm now one week out and apart from my stomach muscles still aching I'm feeling so much better. It's definitely worth it so far.

Hey everyone I'm nearly 2 weeks post op I will be going onto puree food this weekend. Anyone have any nice meal ideas? I'm so excited to eat actual food xx

Congrats! I’m one week post op and I am counting down the days until I can move on to purées 😂! I’ve seen a lot of people talking about the Eggface Ricotta Bake as a good purée dinner. I would love to hear other ideas as well!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
