Anyone Else Having an Increased Sex Drive?

Recommended Posts

Yes I am so "horny" I am bouncing off the walls. It started right after my second fill. I am insatiable. I feel like what I think a teenage boy would feel like in school well when he well you know....................................

I am happy to hear that I am not alone.

I started my pre-op liquid diet today (surgery is friday). I told my husband this morning that to keep my mind off of food in the evenings we are going to have to have lots of sex! He said, "No problem".

He has his first consult on Jan 4 with his lap band doc. Hopefully he'll get schedule for surgery early February or sooner. We've already discussed how much better sex is going to be when I loose 60 pounds and he looses 100!

Rabbits is right! :clap2:

I thought that I was the only one feeling like this. For a man of 50 yrs old I should be loosing my sex drive, but that is definitely not the case. I am driving myself crazy!

Unfortnately my wife who had surgery the same day is not having the same effects.

I don't know what to do. Sex is all I seem to be thinking about. Everytime I see a woman that is the first thing that comes to mind. I guess that I should be happy at least that it is what I think about when I see women and not men if you know what I mean.

I guess that I will have to keep taking matters into my own hands if you know what I mean.

John

I know of what you speak.

I went from 'could'a been a nun' to 'Got my Sexy Back'.

I read somewhere that not only is it the benefit of feeling better slimmer, but there are actually hormones releases in the fat stores that increase our sexual desire.

Can't remember where I read it, but I believe it. This can't all be in my mind.

Ok now I am feeling more out of place than ever. It seems like it is just women that are getting there groove back. What about the guys out there? Am I the only one. I am starting to feel like a pervert feeling like this.

It is so funny, with my first husband I hated sex and with my husband now, I have been a horny little girl since day one, and that was ten years ago.. I'm always ready to get the nasty going..

Sounds like a good explanation to me. For a good time, Shop at your Fat Stores. :omg:

Your hormones might be a little out of wack, too, Lovingwhatis. If it is really bothering you perhaps you should find a good Naturalpath (sp?) in your area who can check your homone levels. My sex drive gets kicked into overdrive around my period. A male friend of mine says my sex drive mirrors a man's at that time. I was told that my testoserone is a bit too high. The Dr wanted to take care of that issue but I say no way! As long as I'm not growing facial hair I'm ok with it! LOl Or maybe you are just feeling better about yourself because you are eating better. Feeling better = feeling sexier. Or a combo of things. If it isn't a problem then roll with it!

Oh I have no problem with it. It rocks. Hubby loves it too!

(and I have always had the pre-menstrual and pre-ovulation increase in sex drive, too) Just wanted to see if others were having the same cool experience. I am convinced that the change in diet is a huge impact. I haven't lost a lot, so I really think that it is due to in large part to the fact that I am not self-medicating anymore with nasty food. It was the last addiction I let go of, and it was easier than I thought.

And Hormones.. those little devils, thanks for the information! at 46, the peri-menopause experience is creeping in for sure. I won't use synth hormones tho, I agree with you - the homeopathic remedies I use, like Sepia for hot flashes and Black Cohosh help more for me. Others seem to be really helped by the synthetics.. I love all our options!

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!
