Okay, I'm starting to get worried...

Recommended Posts

I'm hoping no news is good news but I can't help but be worried. I was supposed to hear back about being approved by this past Wednesday and they haven't heard anything from them yet. I talked to the insurance cooridinator at my doctor's office yesterday and she said that they did call her Wednesday afternoon and ask her to send her my clinicals, which I have no clue what that is. So she faxed those yesterday and I didn't hear from her today. I just want to know something, I'm not good at waiting...lol.

I get you on this. I have to wait until Monday to find out why my surgery is being moved. I am angry and will be this way all weekend.

I'm just having my first meeting with the doctor next week. I was hoping I could plan on surgery in January, but now that I know how long it's taken some of you, I'm concerned. How long did you have to wait? I'm really to go right now, so waiting will be hard!

Tomorrow will be a week for me and I haven't heard back yet, HOPEFULLY I'll hear something this week though. I good friend of mine had it done back in August and got her insurance approval before she left her consultation, I guess it just depends on how much paper work, etc. your insurance company is.

The squeaky wheel gets the oil! Maybe they're busy, but maybe there was a change in employees, lost paperwork, etc. Just give them a call & ask for a status.

I'm glad I am not the only one in this insurance boat. My letter was sent yesterday and when I made my weekly call to the clinic she said it may be 4 to six WEEKS for them to respond. :speechles She did say that there are still some surgery dates available in January so to keep thinking positive thoughts.:) I hope she is wrong about the length of time but this is the holiday season so who knows. I guess we all have to hang in there. I'll call again next week to see where we are. :)

Its amazing when they have to reschedule how fast everything works. My surgery is now on December 31, and all of a sudden the doctor is available, they got me in for the pre-surgical testing next Wed, etc. When they called me on Friday, it was like take January 25. That the only reschedule day.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
