Why can I eat some things like I used to and some things I can barely nibble

But I do know that in the past two years since surgery I have eaten pizza and been able to eat it like I used to. But some foods like scrambled eggs or sausages or chicken if it's too dry I can only do a bite or two and I'm sick

In small crock pot cook 3-4 bonless skinless chicken breast. Coat throughly with McCormicks Garlic & Herbs Add cup or more of chicken broth. Cook on high until falling apart with a fork. Shred all the chicken with a fork.Moist & Tasty!

I find carbs are slider foods - they break down so small they pass right through. Dense Protein, even chewed well seems to sit longer in my stomach.

Can you give examples?

If I eat Pasta I can eat a normal serving and be hungry not long after. Same thing with crackers or other things like that. f I eat a chicken breast, that's often all I can eat in a sitting.

It's so weird, everyone is SO different. I LOVE pizza and can't eat it. When we have pizza, I'll eat the topping off of one slice and then maybe 2 bites of the crust, and I am DONE. I have a lot of issue with carbs: No rice, no Pasta, almost no bread. I can eat crackers, and cheese and crackers has become almost a stand-by meal; I can eat 6 ritz crackers with two Bonne Bell cheeses sliced up on them (so each BB cheese is cut into 3 slices). popcorn? No problem, except for the quantity (it is SO easy to eat handful after handful while watching TV!). Can't eat ground beef at all, it comes back up. I do best with fish, although I can also eat about 2/3 of a chicken thigh or fattier cuts of pork. Chicken breast is not so good, it's too dry. Sometimes I can eat 2 or 3 pieces of chicken wings, sometimes not. eggs are also good for me. And salad... I SO MISS SALAD- and nobody can believe I'd ever have said that. I can eat about 4 bites of salad and I'm done. GONE are the days at Olive Garden when my daughter and I would eat 2 or 3 bowls of salad along with several breadsticks and two bowls of soup... each...

I don't know when I reached Onederland but just weighed myself @198. 😁

Constantly amazing myself. This is probably a normal experience for all of us on a WL journey.
This morning I was at 174 pounds (78.9 kilos). I can perceive that my brain hasn't really caught up to this yet, as I still feel obese, even though I am close to being considered a normal weight, not even overweight. The smaller clothes, the higher fitness level, the great blood work results, the energy- these all tell me a totally different story!
I have NEVER EVER been, never, not once in my life, nada, zip, zilch, zero times, been "thin." I think this explains some of the disconnect between the reality of my body and the stuckness of my brain. I do have confidence that my mind will catch up soon ❤️
Not really having the experience of true hunger yet, but I can perceive the peristalsis of my digestive tract. And I am getting very good at spotting head hunger, and simply noticing it, like a Buddhist.

I ordered the Barbecue Protein Crisps here from BariatricPal, and find them quite tasty. The Ranch flavour, not so much. They are very filing and have a satisfying crunch.
I continue to shrink, and am amazed at the changes all over my body. Visually, it is striking to me. In the mirror, I look thin to my eyes, but I don't feel thin, although I can see more bones and veins and tendons and floppy skin. Cardio-wise, It takes a lot more effort to get my heart rate up and I'm now monitoring which heart zone I can get into and for how long. My resting heart rate is the lowest it's ever been.
If I think about it, and I left myself feel it for a time, I weep (like, boohoo cry) with joy. I am so grateful to myself, and proud of myself for having the courage to have taken the leap to better health.
