Hi - I am new to the site. My sleeve surgery is scheduled for March 10th. Anyone else here set for March? I am super anxious but also looking forward to it. I had a lap band in 2009 and a slip in 2014 that required removal. Curious as to what your pre-op diet looks like. I am on partial liquids now and full liquids for two weeks before the surgery.

Nice to meet everyone!

I just got the call today - surgery schedule for 3/30. Just making it for March! OMG I can't believe its real!

Congrats, I go in tomorrow, this gas thing is freaking me out. When I was at a support meeting that was all they were talking about and the discomfort associated with it. Hope you are off to a speedy recovery.

Can I just say I’ve had multiple belly surgeries and no date on the reschedule for my sleeve yet but the gas pain is sometimes the worst. But walking definitely helps. Get to moving even little bits as much as you can is beneficial! Wishing you the best! Can’t wait to get my date!

I have only been on the shakes, Jello, Water for 5 days and I can’t stand it. Surgery tomorrow. I would go nuts if I had to do it for 3 weeks. Good luck

Hi there I am having my sleeve done on the 22nd and my surgeon has me on 3 Meal Replacement shakes and Water only from today until the 22nd!!!

You got this! My surgeon is the same, 3 weeks pre-op of shakes and Water only.

I am just finishing up week 2 and yes, it has been a challenge but it’s so true that it gets easier.

good luck fellow marcher!

I'm set for March 31st. I'm nervous and ecstatic! I'm ready for this change that I badly need, but it's my first major surgery and I'm scared!

Sent from my SM-G975U using BariatricPal mobile app

We are so close, I'm on the 30th! This is also my first surgery ever, and I am SO nervous. But SO SO SO excited about how this will hopefully change my life! We've got this!

Surgery went well. Only pain has been from the gas they will you with during surgery. Walking does help a lot. I’ve been able to sip okay and hope to go home today after the dr comes by. I’ll keep everyone posted.

@Hopefulin2021 and @Auderly What time are y'all again? I report tomorrow at 5:30 for a 7:30am surgery. I'm still waiting on my COVID test results though so I hope I'm still good!

I have to be at the hospital by 8am so my surgery will probably be around 10 am. I’m still in the OMG phase lol

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
