The program I'm in had made my routine fairly easy, if not a bit monotonous. I'm supposed to drink 1 ounce of Fluid by sipping it over the course of 15 minutes, every 15 minutes. So I'm essentially always drinking fluids every waking hour. I text my doctor every night to update him on how many ounces I consumed and he's adjusted things every day by adding more Protein Shakes into the mix.

For the exercise I've done, I have gone outside and walked for 10 minutes, timing it half way between fluid consumption so that I get back in time to finish the ounce and then start the next one.

Establish a routine: when you eat, when you drink, when you exercise. I found it the best way to keep on top of everything. It doesn’t take much to get behind with Proteins, fluids or activity to begin with. And it helps to establish the long term changes you need to make to be successful.

I still keep to a routine & I’m 14months out. I find it makes things much easier for me.

Good luck.

My program wanted us on meal schedules so 8; 1 and 6 (keeping in mind a meal may be 2 oz of greek yogurt) and to always have water/fluid by us and to sip all day except for 30 mins after meals. They also had me on Vitamins from my first day home which I thought was odd but I had no issues. The first couple of weeks I was also doing small walks 5 or 6 times a day since I couldn't go far.

I did drive at day 3 to go pick my dogs up from the kennel. I wasn't on any pain meds and it was close so I had no issues.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
