As folks are heading back to work, how are you doing on energy and focus? I am working from home for today, and then heading to the office tomorrow, and I'm struggling with having enough energy and focus to get through work. Taking more time off isn't really an option, and I have a job the requires a lot of focus. How are the rest of you getting through the day?

I'm working from home as well, which is a good thing, b/c I'm still fatigued and it's nice to be able to lie down every now and then. I don't head back to the office until Tuesday, so good luck to you tomorrow! Maybe a tumbler of iced Water infused with some flavoring to sip on throughout the day? Thinking lots of ice, to keep you a little cold and keep you awake?

Friday at work was rough! I made the mistake of wearing boots with a slight heel, not being strict with myself on drinking, and forgetting how large the campus is. Today I’m on the couch and resting. I am going to need to plan better and be more disciplined heading forward.

A few times today actually. Only happened a couple times since surgery like the first week or 2 but happened multiple times today while out and about with the family.

I’m doing well. Started a general diet on Sunday, January 26 (my birthday). I went out for my birthday with my husband for lunch and ordered a grilled chicken avocado . Ate half of the grilled chicken (about 1 1/2 oz) and avocado without bread and 3 small chunks of fresh fruit. It seemed to sit heavy with me the rest of the day and I did not eat again, but did a Protein Shake for my birthday dinner. I had made a slow cooker pork roast for dinner, but couldn’t eat it.

I tried to eat a bit of reheated pork roast for dinner tonight but after about 4 tiny bites and 2 bites of roasted carrots, up it came. It’s probably too soon. I’ve done chicken, fish and eggs without a problem.

I had my sleeve on Dec 18th,2019. I have lost 27 pounds and over a month out. I’m still adjusting to the whole new mindset and eating ways. I’m excited about this journey. I still have two shakes a day and now that I’m to soft foods I’ve been sticking primarily to Protein. I have even got meat sticks and cheese I eat on. That’s pretty much all I do for now and try to get my Water in as much as possible.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
