Does anyone else feel that they live in workout gear?

I certainly do!

I work then hop to my studio to workout, then back to work hence me being in my workout clothes all day.

You look bloody amazing!!

I definitely feel that way at the moment but I am running out of workout gear that fits me! Need some recommendation for some squat-proof leggings!

You look hawt!!! @Lilia_90.

I live in leggings in winter. Just around the house though cause I don’t do the gym thing. 😉 They’re comfortable and because I do stretches and such at a few times throughout the day so it’s just easier.

My niece #2 swears by Lululemon leggings @Bypass2Freedom. She’s a contemporary dancer and teaches Pilates. Says other brands don’t last & she was always splitting seams in them. On the expensive end unfortunately (though she can probably claim them on her tax as work wear LOL!.) I wear Bonds (Haynes). Been wearing the same ones for years but then I wouldn’t put as much strain as you would with squats, etc.

When I was starting out and had alot of lumps and bumps to hide I really liked the Baleaf brand on Amazon. Since I have lost a little more I have gone with the gym People brand also on Amazon that are a little cheaper and have more color options but the material is not quite as nice as the Baleaf. They both are much better fabric than the ones you get like 4 or more in a pack in my opinion and they both have the pockets for your cell phone which I can’t live without now but of course in terms of fit that will vary from person to person. The good thing about Amazon is that you can easily return if you don’t like them but the Baleaf ones unless they are just too long or short or something I don’t think you will want to return. They are real soft and I had two pair in each size as I lost Navy And Black So they were washed every two days and the color never faded and they didn’t get the pills between the thighs. . Of course it was only a couple of months but that’s still like 30 washes and they still looked new. I suggested a clothing swap at my irl bariatric support group and I saved them because I know someone will be thrilled to get them as they are losing.

The Baleaf brand was the material compression like? I feel like some are so light that there isn’t much support

I really love the Mondetta brand from costco. 7/8 legs, pockets, high waisted, and nice thick material that holds their shape.

Gosh thank you!!

I have bought and got rid of many workout clothes over the course of one year. My advise is don't be in a rush to buy because you'll keep losing weight, or buy dirt cheap gear so it's not painful when you need to toss them away LMAO.

I was a big fan of Lululemon and have a ton of their tights, however I switched to Alo a few years back and never looked back. I looove how the tights fit and how snug they are, it's not cheap but worth every penny, plus super chic!

Yes the Baleaf brand does have a bit of compression without cutting in at the waist or ankles. Its quite a bit more compared to the lululemon ones which I also own a couple pair of them now because they are buttery soft and soooooo comfy( (as close as you can get to feeling naked while wearing clothing). Personally, I wouldn’t leave the house in them though because they don’t hide nearly enough of my “secrets.” 😂

I feel like the reason that the Lululemon are so popular amongst the younger generation is because they are generally still toned and they look fine on them. My kudos to those that have lost all their weight and toned enough to wear the lululemon though they are really nice and I heard the same thing about their durability so if I could get away with them I for sure would. I can’t speak to the durability myself because I have not owned the lululemons for long.

I’m guessing for a much higher price point there are nicer ones out there But for $30 bucks, i have been quite pleased with the Baleaf. Ooh and they are like $10 off near the holidays. I stocked up just before Christmas in the smaller sizes that I knew I would be needing.

Now! I forgot to tell you about the former outfit in the post above. So the girls decided to wear sparkly and skanky outfits last minute lol, and I had nothing that fit the category nor me - no pun intended - . Also, it was too late to attempt to go shopping, so guess what your gal did?

I raided my 9 year old's closet, and picked these two pieces, the top is a children's size 10, and the skirt is Zara children's size 11-12, which was sewn from the sides to fit my daughter's waist (she was 6 when she wore this last) and you know how Zara's sizes run way smaller. So those are tiny wins for me (again no pun intended) - not sure my husband agrees since he thinks I'm trying to be tiny on purpose, which my exercise regimen kinda confirms - .

Came to flaunt this new Alo set I got in Gravel. It’s so flattering and hugs just right. Top and leggings both in XS. Peek the matching socks!

If anyone was on the fence about them Baleaf leggings, they seem to be on sale now popping up in my Amazon for $19.99 or $23.99 depending on the size. They were regular.$29.99 and have random sales. $19.99 is the cheapest I have seen, but I have seen it on several occasions. If you add them to your cart and save for later, you get notifications when they are marked down.

My husband and I just had our 5 year anniversary. We got married right as everything was shutting down for COVID so we didn’t get to have our receptions. We decided to do a five year anniversary party to finally be able to Celebrate with friends and family.

I loved my dress I got for it (though I didn’t get a great picture of the whole dress 🤪). I am still hopefully only halfway done with my weight loss journey but it felt great to by a size 14 dress; it’s been a long time since I wore a size 14!

Here are some picture i scavenged from people from the event to show off the dress!

Four days post surgery. I am sipping as fast as I can and getting NO WHERE near the goal of 60 - 80 grams of protein or the 64 oz of liquids. I just feel FULL. I don't know if it can still be the gas build up (I would think by now that would be gone) but it is a struggle to drink. And so far I have not had the nausea or spasms and don't want to wander into that territory by pushing too hard with liquids. I about passed out today as it was my most "strenuous" day. Went from second story to basement for shower and I was sure I was going to pass out. Looking back on my last few days I have had a total of less than 1000 calories. Am I just not getting enough nourishment in me? Once again a friday where I can't get ahold of the doc until Monday rolls back around so I am hoping maybe someone here has some experience on how to keep energy going. I do have fibromyalgia too and that may be where some added fatigue comes into play. How did you all fair with the goals the week after surgery?

2 days until I fly out to San Diego to have my Bypass Surg. in Tiajuana Mexico. Not gonna lie, the nerves are starting to surface. I don't fear the surgery itself, or the fact that I'm traveling alone, but its the aftermath that I'm stressing about the most, after this 8 week wait. I'm excited to finally be here, but I am really dreading the post surgical chapter. I know its going to be tough, real tough and I think I'm just in my head to much now that the day i here. Wish me luck, Hopefully I'm one of the lucky ones, and everything goes smoothly. Cant wait to give an exciting update,. If there is anyone else have a June bypass or even a recent one, Id love to have someone to compare war stories with. Also, anyone near San Antonio Tx? See ya soon with the future me. 💜

I'm in Houston so kind of near you and had the sleeve in Dec. Down 61 lbs. Feeling better. Was definitely worth it. I hope the everything is going well for you. Update us when you can!

I am back home after my bypass surgery in Tiajuana. I'm post op day 4. Everything went great! I guess I'm one of the lucky ones who have not encountered much pain at all, no nausea thus far and I'm having no problem keeping down broths and water. Thank you for your well wishes. I cant wait to keep up this journey and have a chance at better health and simply better quality of life. I know there will be bumps in the road ahead, and everything won't be peaches and cream, but at least I have a great start so far. 😍

I am new here today... and only two weeks out from my sleeve surgery on the 23rd. I am amazed I have kept my calories down to 467 today so far... that leaves me almost 750 left for dinner and maybe a snack. This is going to be tough for two weeks... but I have to believe I can do it!

Hey everyone. I'm new here so I thought I should introduce myself. I am 53y/o and am scheduled for Gastric Bypass on June 25th, 2025. I'm located in San Antonio, Texas. I will be having my surgery in Tiajuana Mexico. I've wanted this for years, but I always had insurance where bariatric procedures were excluded. Finally I am able to afford to pay out of pocket.  I can't wait to get started, and I hope I'm prepared for the initial period of "hell". I know what I have signed up for, but I'm sure the good to come will out way the temporary period of discomfort and feelings of regret. I'd love to find people to talk to who have been through the same procedure or experience before. So I look forward to meeting you all. Hope you have a great week!

I'm so happy for you! You are about to change your life. I was so glad to get the sleeve done in Dec. I didn't have feelings of regret overall. And I'm down almost 60 lbs. I do feel a little sad at restaurants. I can barely eat half a kid's meal. I get adults meals often because kid ones don't have the same offerings at times. Then I feel obligated to eat on that until it's gone and that can be days. So the restaurant thing isn't great for me. All the rest is fine by me! I love feeling full with very little. I do wish I could drink when eating. And will sip at the end. Just a strong habit to stop. But I'm working on it! You will do fine! Just keep focused on your desire to be different. Not better or worse. But different. I am happy both ways but my low back doesn't like me that heavy. So I listened (also my feet!). LOL! Update us on your journey! I'm not far from you. I'm in Houston. Good luck and I hope it all goes smoothly! Would love to see pics of the town you go to for this. I've never been there. Neat you will be traveling for this! Enjoy the journey. Take it one day at a time. Sometimes a few hours at a time. Follow all recommendations as best you can. 💗

      2. Doughgurl

Thank you so much for your well wishes. I am hoping that everything goes easy for me as well. We don't eat out much as it is, so it wont be too bad in that department. Thankfully. Also, I hear you regarding your back and feet!! I'd like to add knees to the list. Killing me as we speak! I'm only 5' so the weight has to go. Too short to carry all this weight. Menopause really did a doosey on me. (😶lol) My daughter also lives in Houston. with her Husband and my 5 grand-littles. I grew up in Beaumont, so I know Houston well, I will be sure to keep in touch and update you on my journey. I may need some advice in the future, or just motivation. Thank You so much for reaching out, I was hoping to connect with someone in the community. I really appreciate it. 💜
