Better tasting [to me] water flavoring

So I'm going to try and describe to you the flavor I'm looking for.

I generally hate the taste of plain water, unless I'm dehydrated. My liquid of choice was always regular Coke from a fountain over crushed ice. [trigger? Sorry]

Never in my life drank coffee. I would get my caffeine via SF Rockstar.

Stopped drinking milk 25 years ago due to intolerance and what I term milk-mouth. That filmy feeling after I would drink dairy products.

I would describe the two categories of taste as: sharp (carbonated, citric, film-cutting) And what I mean by the last one is that it removes that milky-film in your mouth like Simple Green on grease.

Dull or thick (dairy-based, has a flavor that is fruit-based but muted)

I've been adding Crystal Light and other SF packets but they are all generally on the dull side.

I find that fruit infused water is close to just plain water. Maybe my taste buds have been burnt off by years of acidic Coke and energy drinks.

Any suggestions for additives?

I do protein shakes using almond milk, chocolate or vanilla powder and SF Torani syrup which is ok. It's like a milkshake that isn't as frosty but I get bored with it.

I've been clearing out the shelves of my local Grocery Outlet / Bargain Market for the chocolate shakes made by Foundation Fitness. Thirty grams of protein, and has a taste that I would describe as milk chocolate with an after taste of dark chocolate. $1.79 for four cans.

If I could get them to taste like Jamba Juice I would be in Heaven.

Costco also has their brand of Vitamin Water that tastes pretty good and a little less. Also, I just posted under another water question about drinking diet Snapple (Peach or Regular flavor) if it is an approved drink. I have been mixing it half water and lemons/limes. So far it's been pretty good.

And I like Nestle Splash , good flavit, no calories. We usually have Acai Grape around the house, I can even drink it warm. and usually I demand liquids chilled.
