Everything has been going well for me but yesterday morning I woke up with what at first felt like hunger pains for the first time. I had oatmeal and a protein shake and a couple hours later I was feeling better. By the afternoon I had developed a pain in my lower left back and my stomach nausea had returned. Having experienced this once before I realized it was kidney pain. When I woke up this morning the stomach nausea was gone but the kidney pain was still there. When I went to the bathroom the volume was very low which is the dead give away that it was a kidney stone.
I was able to get in contact with my doctor and he confirmed it sounded like a kidney stone and to try to flush it out. I wasnt as diligent this weekend in getting my fluids and now I am paying the price. Its a wakeup call to me on the importance of staying hydrated.
Has anyone else experienced kidney stones post op?
