DS on June 7, yesterday was my first day really tracking Protein and I made it- was sure all drinks first part of day had protein managing day pain with Tylenol and just using the “good stuff” at night to sleep - it really it about refilling and refilling and refilling a medicine cup and making each one a goal ALL DAY LONG everyday the pain is a little better.
Who has a tasty option for b complex cause the one I got is awful
Anyone else having to do blood thinner injections?
I had to do blood thinners. Thankfully I'm done, because I'm covered in bruises. Today is my first day with protein. So stoked for variety! I've been doing a half dose of pain meds in the morning and a full dose at night -- just enough to stay ahead of it. Today seems better. Hope yours is too!

Some people do great with them, some don't for some reason but I have been using the Patches from PatchMd.com for almost 2 years and labs always come back great. I use the Multi Vitamin, the B12 plus, D3 plus Calcium, and Iron. I also use a sleep aid one from the store here on BP because PatchMD doesn't have it. Patches= no pills/liquids, no aftertaste, etc. Remember, they are 8 hr patches, to reap the benefits, wear them the full 8 hrs.

Somehow I got a full night's sleep, I don't know how! I'm very thoroughly cleansed from the special soap, and leaving for the hospital in a few minutes. 3 hours from now I'll be in for my procedure...! It's beyond surreal!

How are you feeling love? How did it go?

It would scare me to start liquids so late...what if you're liver is enlarged?

Regardless, positive thoughts and good vibes coming your way...you've got this!!! :)

Hopefully it isn’t! 🙂 That’s why with my program I had to lose 5% of my starting weight prior to being approved for surgery.

Girl yes. If I'm freaking out while they're prepping me I'm going to ask them to give me something to calm me down. The last thing I want to ruin that day for me is my anxiety

I think I might do the same...[emoji85] Btw my surgery was pushed back 2 days so I think we're having it done on the same day. [emoji106]

So you're having yours the 19th too?! Yay we really are surgery twins lol. This liquid diet is so blah at this point. My kids had cheeseburgers for dinner and I almost fell over dead. I just kept drinking my sad cup of Bone Broth lol

Anyone else here have the sleeve June 4? I’d love to hear how you’re feeling and how you’re managing “meals”, Fluid intake, Protein drinks.
I did. I’ve had no issue hitting fluids from the beginning. I’m struggling with choking down the Protein Shakes but I’m trying to get to 60-70 every day and making it. Need to go buy the clear drinks today because shakes are too sweet and thick right now. Can not wait to be able to chew something again🙄 I thought I was about to lose my mind with hunger two days ago and I made grits bc they were on my list. I ate too many a little too fast was too full to eat anything for 12 hours and still don’t really feel that hunger again two days later. I didn’t get sick but I got a great preview of what to expect later.

It's taking me hours to down 1 11oz premier shake right now. No cream of wheat or yogurt or grits or cream Soup until next week. I am still not physically hungry but I am missing food right now

When you go buy the clear drinks, I suggest getting the Protein 2.0. The Premier are wayyy too sweet, even more so than the shakes. I bought 4 cases of the Premier and can't stand them. Went yesterday and bought a case of the protein 2.0 and they're much more tolerable. Downside is they're only 15g protein.

IWhat flavors do they have in the Protein 2.0? I agree the Protein Shakes feel too sweet and thick. A couple of days ago I thought my stomach was growling I was so hungry but have now recognized it’s these weird bubbles in my stomach. This is definitely a whole new feeling. Definitely looking forward to chewing food! I bought some sf hard candy to occasionally chew on.

All I have found so far, at Sam's, is a mixed case of Mixed berry, Grape, and Coconut. I wish they sold the flavors separately because I'm not a fan of coconut, though I haven't tried this drink yet. Who knows, I may like it.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
